Walking In The Spirit
Published: November 1, 2017I absolutely know that much of the time I’m not walking in the Spirit because of all the things I either do or say or the way I act. This is not how I want it to be but it seems I do all these things whether I want it this way or not. Does God the Father not see me as righteous when I’m not walking according to the Spirit? I know He must be displeased and this kills me inside that He is feeling this way about me. I want so much to be like Jesus and then I’m not again and I get so discouraged. What am I to do?
Disciples In Debt?
Published: November 1, 2017Is there anything in Scripture with regards to being a disciple and being in debt? With debt being a master of sorts, is it possible that Jesus would “give the go ahead” for someone to be a disciple while in debt? I know it’s been done and is still being done but is it right?
Is 2017 A Jubilee Year?
Published: November 1, 2017I’ve been told that 2017 is the next Jubilee year and that an ancient rabbinical prophecy says the Millennial Kingdom will begin at that time. What’s your opinion?
Occupy Til I Come
Published: October 31, 2017In Matt. 6:31-33 Jesus said we are to seek the Kingdom first, then all these things will be added to us. But isn’t there a little more to it than just being hopeful for the things of the Kingdom? Shouldn’t we be concerned about our Spiritual growth too? It is almost like some people are so excited for Christ’s return they don’t see the need to address Spirituality in this life, or does that just take care of itself as we focus on Jesus’ return? Jesus told us to “Occupy till I come.” Doesn’t that also mean we are to live life, plan, enjoy His blessings, while we build a strong relationship with Him, still putting Him first?
One New Man
Published: October 31, 2017I am of the understanding that when we become a Christian we are baptized into Jesus Christ, yet there is a ‘Messianic’ Jewish teacher on television who teaches that when we accept Jesus Christ we are grafted in and become that “one new man”as a Jew. I think he says ‘a spiritual Jew’. While reading Romans 2:29 it says “He is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” I understand the circumcision of the heart part, but I am not understanding the connection between the Jew inwardly. As Christians we don’t keep the law, so I don’t understand how this applies.
The Book Of The Covenant
Published: October 31, 2017I was reading in Exodus chapter 24 and I have some questions. It talks about the Book of the Covenant. From reading the chapter, I get the feeling it is associated with the 10 Commandments in some way. What is its purpose? I have heard of the Mosaic Covenant. Is this the same thing?
My Job Is Getting Me Down
Published: October 30, 2017My job of ‘Religious Education teacher’, allows me to speak freely (ish) about Jesus – along with other world religions – to students that might not ordinarily hear about him. In the past I’ve thought of this as a blessing. Of late though, my job is becoming increasingly stressful with the demands and pressures applied by senior management. I have difficulty connecting at home and my spare time is taken up with extra work to meet deadlines; it feels like being on a treadmill that you can’t get off.
1 Corinthians 10:33 says we should not seek our own good, but the good of many so they can be saved. This suggests we should carry on regardless of our own feelings for the greater good. However, although I am telling people about Jesus in my lessons which I enjoy, my job interferes with my daily walk because it consumes my thoughts – both at work and at home to the point where my health and my relationship with Jesus are both suffering. What should I do?
What Is The Judgment All Mankind Will Face At The End?
Published: October 30, 2017I just have a short question. If we are saved totally by grace, what is the judgment all mankind will face at the end? Thank for your inspiration. I look forward to coming to this site every single day.
Is It Hard To Be Saved?
Published: October 30, 2017I can’t get this concept of beings saved. It’s hard for me, as I have had a hard life. I have prayed when in Juvenile, I go to a catholic church with my friend ( I am not catholic, but baptist and Jewish by race.) My friend and I talk constantly about Jesus. He bugs me about not being saved, but it doesn’t bother me. Don’t get me wrong, I want to be saved. But I don’t have the “feeling” inside me. What do you suggest for me?
Turn The Other Cheek?
Published: October 27, 2017I recently heard an ‘alternative’ sermon regarding turning the other cheek. According to this teacher, if you turned the other cheek and caused someone to strike you with the back of their hand, it was actually an act of defiance rather than submission. He said Jesus was therefore teaching us to ‘stand up for ourselves’. I would be grateful for your thoughts.
