Everyone Will Bow, Without Exception
Published: January 3, 2018It is written in Philippians 2:9-11 that every knee shall bow at the name of Jesus, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. In reference to those in heaven, does this mean that the archangels Michael and Gabriel will also bow at the name of Jesus and confess Him as Lord, or is this just referring to the saints in heaven?
Saving Believers In Name Only
Published: January 3, 2018Do you ever get the feeling that born again believers should try to focus more effort on so-called believers in name only instead of trying to reach “sinners”? Seems like an even more difficult task to me, but I ask because with the nearness of the rapture. I can’t imagine a more surprised, disappointed, and terrified group than they will be after the rapture.
Help! My Relationship Does Not Honor The Lord
Published: January 3, 2018I am saved and love the Lord and want so badly to honor him but I am in a relationship that does not honor the Lord. Many times, way too many to count I have tried to end the relationship. And I confess the sin desiring to make my relationship right with God. I hate that I am caught up in this relationship and my life is truly miserable because of it. I haven’t been able to free myself from it and I feel like a total failure before the Lord. I hate what my life has become; the sin entanglement is sucking the life out of me. Why can’t I muster the courage to end it once and for all? What hope do I have? I don’t want to pretend I will go to Heaven when from scripture it appears I am bound for Hell and I am sure many would agree that is where I will end up. I want the truth even if the truth is this ungodly relationship is sending me to Hell. What a failure and disappointment I must be to the Lord. I am not asking for a stamp of approval for my behavior( I know it is sin) but please help me sort through the misery I find myself in.
Physical Death And Spiritual Death
Published: January 2, 2018Concerning the fate of the lost: Punishment does not mean the same as punishing. If one is burned up and ceases to be, the punishment is eternal. If the burning was to go on for that individual forever, would it not be called “eternal punishing? The death penalty is different from life imprisonment with no parole. It has been said that Adam was created with eternal life but lost it for all of us. Since then, all humans are born with a body and soul but have to believe (born again) in order to receive eternal life. How then can the unsaved then live forever?
Tips on Evangelizing
Published: January 2, 2018I was recently talking to someone I know about Christianity and my friend said to me that he can’t keep up with all these made up things from Santa Claus to the Easter bunny and even the tooth fairy. How do I respond to this? How can I show Jesus to be the one true thing in all this?
Is Jesus In Physical Or Spiritual Form?
Published: January 2, 2018The Bible tells us that Jesus appeared to many people after his resurrection. Thomas touched his body and Jesus ate fish with his followers. Obviously, it was a physical body. In what state did the Lord Jesus ascend to Heaven to be seated at the right hand of God the Father, physical or spiritual, and in what state is he in now as far as his body is concerned?
Jews, Gentiles, And The Church
Published: December 29, 2017My question is this. If Adam and Eve were the first to bear children, and we have Jew and Gentile, where did the separation of Jew and Gentile take place? Who started the Gentile nation or people? I. E. Israel and foreigner?
How Can God Sit On A Throne?
Published: December 29, 2017Thank you for all your hard work and insight into the word of God. My question concerns the one who sat on the throne in Revelation 5:7. Jesus said in John 4:24, “God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”. I have always wondered about Rev. 5:7 and have never had an interpretation that I could fully grasp. A spirit is like the wind, you can’t see the wind but you can see the effects of the wind. So would this not indicate that a spirit can’t be seated on a literal throne. It would seem to me that it be would Jesus seated on the throne in his resurrected body. In Mathew 28: 18 Jesus said “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”. Could this some how be what revelation chapter 5 and verse 7 is referring to? Thank you in advance for your answer.
How Should The Church Hold Believers Accountable?
Published: December 29, 2017I read your article yesterday, What Is Sin. It was amazing! I agree with you 100%.
My question to you though is about churches in our times now. We appear to have become very tolerant of sin in people who call themselves Christians and members of our churches. I see so many who regularly attend but who continue to live in sin with boyfriends (for years and years and continue doing it). That is just one example but I think you know what I mean.
You are dead-on right about judging others but are we also supposed to hold one another accountable? I read an article on the Drudge Report tonight about a church in Jacksonville, Florida who are using 18:17 to announce the sins of a particular woman in their congregation to the entire church. It seems a bit rough to me because where does grace fall into any of this? I think there is a fine line between grace and tolerance. What I’m seeing more and more are congregations of people coming to play church and not devoting themselves to the obedience of Jesus Christ. (yes, believe me, no one knows better than me about the plank in my own eye).
I guess what I’m asking is how do we call our churches back to obedience? It seems to me that we have a form of Godliness but lack the power thereof. I fear for the church in these times. I’d be interested to know what you think about this. Thank you so much for your time and may God richly bless you!
Why Does God Allow This?
Published: December 28, 2017Why does God allow the enemy to inhibit, prevent, stall, interrupt, interfere with, His work on Earth. Paul mentioned that he had wanted to go somewhere but the devil had stopped him. Why does God allow this?
