Christ And The Church

Published: August 18, 2006
Q

Hey, thanks so much for taking the time to answer questions. It helps out so much!

In one of your replies to a question about God being both male and female, you mentioned that the Church and Christ are modeled by the man and woman getting married.

I was thinking about it, and since a man and woman make a baby, what do the Church and Christ make? I know this question may seem a little odd, but I’ve been told that great things come in threes, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Trilogies of books are often good, and man, woman, and child. I feel that the Church and Christ wouldn’t be complete without a third part, am I wrong?

Thank you so much again, and God bless!

What’s So Special About August 22?

What is the significance of August 22 in Islam, and why did the President of Iran choose that day to respond to UN demands that Iran curtail their nuclear program?

Ezekiel 38 Again

Published: August 18, 2006
Q

This concerns the war of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. We know this could not happen until Israel thinks it is living in peace and safety. I have more of an observation than a question for you to comment on. I find it hard to believe that the United States would allow this to even come close to happening especially when we have a sizable force currently in the region.

It will take a significant amount of time for a force the size of the one described in Ezekiel 38-39 to assemble for the invasion so it could not be a surprise attack. I feel that something really bad has to happen to the United States to require our resources to be used somewhere else or something happens that destroys a lot of our resources to prevent us from interceding. If the Rapture happens before this war that would explain the United States lack of resources. Or the United States can have a catastrophic natural event such as an earthquake on the New Madrid fault.

What do you think keeps the United States out of this conflict? Thank you for your valuable insights.

An Ezekiel 38-39 Question

Published: August 18, 2006
Q

I found your site a few months ago and now I’m here everyday reading the question and answer section.

My question is regarding Ez.39:9. If Russia, Iran, etc, etc, invade Israel midway in the tribulation, will Israel be burning their weapons into the millennium? Do you believe this war could occur before the rapture or soon after?

Another question…..I have been listening to End time ministries for awhile. I am pre-trib to the core and I am astounded at some of the things this guy comes up with. He said the other day that the first five trumpet judgments have already taken place. Does this guy think we are in the first half of the tribulation?

I thank the Lord for your site.

The Lost Tribes Of Israel

Published: August 17, 2006
Q

I just found this web site yesterday and was impressed with what I read. I will probably be asking several questions from time to time.

One question I have now concerns Ezekiel Chapter 37. In your opinion, what people is God talking about? Is he talking about all 12 tribes or is he just talking about Judah? If this prophecy is concerning all 12 tribes, where are they now? From the information I have read, the missing twelve tribes are all over the world. Some of Israel’s enemies today could be some of those tribes. The USA probably was founded by descendants of the missing tribes.

This is very confusing. Thanks in advance for your insights.

Big Sins And Little Sins

Published: August 16, 2006
Q

My son-in-law leads a local group of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. One of the Catholic girls expressed her belief that there are big and small sins. He knows that all sin is sin and must be repented of and confessed. He said they would talk about it this Sunday.

Do you have some special teaching or insight that would make it clear to her what the truth really is? Thank you so much for your help.

The Man Of Lawlessness

Published: August 16, 2006
Q

Question: Regarding the Man of Lawlessness (Anti-Christ) and the confirmation of a covenant (Dan 9:27), almost exclusively I have been taught that this reference is to a 7-year treaty that is “confirmed” by the Antichrist which kicks off the 70th week of Daniel.

However, Dan 9:27 mentions he “confirms” a covenant . It doesn’t mention its duration. In the middle of the 70th week, he stops sacrifice and offerings. So, we all presume it’s a 7-year treaty.

But, might not Dan 9:27 be stating exactly what it says – namely, that the Antichrist will “Confirm” (which to confirm, something must already be in place) not just a covenant, but THE Covenant. We often call the Torah the “Old Testament”, but it is also called the “Old Covenant”. And the word used in Dan 9:27 for covenant is the same one used by God in describing His promises to His people, the Jews.

In light of what you have taught about the battle of Ezekiel causing the world-wide Jews to see their relationship with God being renewed, might not the Antichrist’s confirmation of a covenant be the official re-reinstatement of the Old Testament (Covenant) practices and relationship by authorizing the rebuilding of the temple and the sacrificial system being put back in place?

Will Smokers Miss The Rapture?

Published: August 12, 2006
Q

God Bless your web site! It is very insightful and I find myself reading your questions and answers very interesting.

I do have a question. I am a Christian and I have tired to quit smoking several times and can’t seem to get victory in this area. I know that the rapture is going to happen soon, will I miss it because I can’t seem to quit?

Also, does it say somewhere in prophecy that Palestinians will never Have a state? Thanks again

What Happens After Death?

Published: August 12, 2006
Q

My grandmother recently died and I’ve been searching for the truth about life after death. Usually a church says,”She went to heaven with the Lord” but then why would the dead in Christ rise first if they’re already in heaven with Jesus. I need some sort of Scriptural evidence of what really happens after death. Please help.
