The Day Of The Lord

Published: March 13, 2007
Q

Here is a question about the Day of the Lord. For all the cataclysmic imagery of this day starting in a violent way in Bible prophecy, isn’t the real relevance of the Day of the Lord that Christ will reign for one day ( 1000 years ) of peace and restoration on earth ? For the Christian, the Day of the Lord is a good thing, is it not ? The initial judgments and violence are just to wrestle dominion from the powers and principalities who are currently trespassing on Christ’s turf !

Head Covering

Q

In 1st Corinthians 11, it says that a man dishonors his head when he covers his head while praying but a woman should be covered. I know it’s talking about submission to authority and headship, but I was thinking of the Jewish people. When the Jewish men pray, they have a yamakah (sp?) on their head, or perhaps even a tallit, but the women don’t. What was Paul meaning when he wrote this passage – specifically, should women be wearing some covering when they pray?

Two Witnesses Error? One More Time

Published: March 8, 2007
Q

I never tire of your knowledge. Thank you. On the controversy of the two witnesses, where can I find scripture that backs up Moses’ role, and not Enoch’s? The fact that Enoch and Elijah never died makes sense, but many Bible scholars have said it will be Moses. I’ve wondered this myself. Perhaps it may have something to do with Moses and Elijah appearing with the Lord on the mount of Transfiguration. Am I wrong?

Millennial Children

Published: March 7, 2007
Q

I have a couple of questions actually all referring to the same thing and am looking for verses confirming your answer.

Will there be children born during this period by believers who survived the Tribulation?

Assuming the above question is true.

I assume freewill is still around even though Satan is bound and in the bottomless pit and the anti-Christ and false prophet are in the lake of fire. Will these children have the choice to or not to believe in Christ? And if they choose not to what happens to them? Will they live till the 1000 years are complete? Or will something else happen to them?

Last, when Satan is released from the pit, some people will be deceived. Will it be the children who were born during this time who have not accepted Christ as Savior?

Blessing The Boys

Q

My dearest friend and I were discussing Genesis 48:13-22 last night. What is the significance of Israel giving Ephraim the blessing instead of Manasseh? We know it displeased Joseph, but we wonder if it had anything to do with Jacob himself because of his deception with Isaac and Esau. We would like to know what you can glean from these scriptures.

I know we can’t add to God’s word, but sometimes what is left unsaid leaves us wanting more info. Maybe that’s God’s purpose?

Thank you again for this site. I have been so blessed from your gift.

Two Witnesses Error? Follow Up

Published: March 5, 2007
Q

It is with tender Christian Love I say the following:

Now, on the subject of The Two Witnesses. Deut. 34:5-7. says Moses DIED in the land of Mo’ab v.5. Moses was buried.v.6. Moses was 120 years old when He DIED…v.7.

Hebrews 9: 27. “And it is appointed unto men once to die,…”

1st. Corinthians 15:51. “We shall not all sleep…” meaning those of us who are alive (at the time of the Rapture).

When one says Moses will be one of the two witnesses, he/she creates a problem; that being, Moses dying twice and Enoch not dying at all, which conflicts with God’s WORD. Also, One implies that there is a reincarnation of Moses.

Any Modern Simeons Around?

Q

As I listened to one of your teachings on the Rapture and Great Tribulation, a curious question that had come to mind a few months ago, came back again. Do you think there is anyone living today that may be someone like Simeon (who was promised he would not die until he saw the Messiah) regarding the Rapture of the Church? The person who has come to mind both times is the Rev. Billy Graham. I’m sure this question had an obvious answer such as yes, but I was wondering what your thoughts are about this.

Just a word of thanks, your God-inspired insight regarding the book of Revelation has re-ignited the fire of longing for His return I haven’t felt since I put a prayer in a crevice of the Western Wall in Israel in 1985. The prayer was the chorus of a song, “Oh Lord Jesus how long, how long, ere we shout the glad song, Christ returneth, Hallelujah, Amen.”

Where Is Jesus Now?

Published: March 4, 2007
Q

First I want to thank the Lord for your website and pray God’s continued blessings on your ministry. Where do we born again Christians go when we die? Heaven or Paradise the compartment of Hades? Personally, I feel it is irrelevant as I will be absent from the body and present with my Lord Jesus Christ where ever He is. There are however those who make an issue of this point. It is sad that Christians allow Satan to use this small point and others like it to divide Christians from fellowship.

Women In Pants

Q

I want to find out more about Deuteronomy 22:5 and the Bible’s position on women wearing pants to church. Can you explain this?
