Is Sex A Sin?
Published: November 9, 2007Re: Genesis 3:7 “they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.”
Adam and Eve got a child by having sex but why did they have sex only after they sinned? Why didn’t they have sex and have children before sinned? Was sex known to them only after they sinned or before they sinned also? Before sinning they definitely knew that they were husband and wife but why were they not ashamed at being naked until after they sinned? Is sex a sin, or not a sin?
The Week With Two Sabbaths
Published: November 9, 2007My question is regarding your commentary about “Solving the Three Day Three Night Mystery”
Mark 16:1 says that they bought sweet species AFTER the Sabbath, but Luke 23:56 says they bought them BEFORE the Sabbath. Which Sabbath was Mark referring to?

Having Trouble Submitting
Published: November 8, 2007Thank you for this ministry! I love reading the questions and answers. I read your articles regarding alcohol and I agree that the Bible does not say we can’t drink alcohol as long as we don’t sin as a result. My problem is this: My pastors require anyone in leadership to sign a covenant stating they will not smoke, drink alcohol, or watch movies “not pleasing to the Lord”.
I am the prayer coordinator at my church. My pastor is a recovered alcoholic. It seems their concern is what “others would think if they saw a leader drinking” I agree, I should not drink in his presence, or maybe even in public, but I think he is making a personal conviction into a doctrine, and I am struggling with the issue of submitting in this area. God bless you and thank you!
Who Sinned To Make This Happen?
Published: November 8, 2007I was somewhat disturbed by your response to the one who asked about sickness in “good” people. My spirit sort of lurched when I read that, and it struck me very much like advice coming from one of Job’s friends: technically accurate, but incomplete and (perhaps) incorrectly applied.
Sure, we are all sinners; certainly we deserve nothing but God’s eternal wrath; yes, we are nothing but unworthy servants. Yet, He’s adopted us into His family; He tells us that there is no longer any condemnation; He tells us to come boldly toward the throne of grace.
So, who sinned, me or my wife that she (and my son) live with chronic illness, yet I live in comparative heath (though partially blind from birth)? By your previous answers, we might conclude that there is no difference between us and the most grievous sinner: only that we are getting more of what we deserve of the consequences of our and the world’s corporate sin.
I suppose this is possible, but what about this: God can surely heal us; in fact, in His time, He already has and we simply must wait for our time to intersect His. Meanwhile, He uses our infirmity to strengthen other people. I could go on and on about how God is growing us through these experiences, but that could be said to be a response to our situation rather than a cause of it.
Certainly what I’ve shared here is not the entire answer either, but my spirit says that it’s a necessary addition to temper the (perfectly true) views that you have presented.
Luke, Paul, The Gospel, And Acts
Published: November 7, 2007Is there any truth to the possibility that Luke’s gospel and “the so called fifth gospel the book of acts” could have had a lot of Paul’s input? I know that all scripture is inspired by God, but just like Mark’s gospel was really Peter’s account could there be something similar here as well?
Thieves And Robbers
Published: November 6, 2007I have a question about what Jesus said in John 10:8. “All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.”
On the surface it appears that Jesus is saying that Moses and all the prophets before him are thieves and robbers. I find it hard to believe that he would say that about his fellow prophets.
What is your interpretation on who he is talking about and what reasons is it not Moses and the prophets? Thanks for all the answers you give and may the LORD continue to bless you.
Joseph’s Coat Of Many Colors

Why Pray For Israel?
Published: November 5, 2007I know Bible commands to pray for Israel. And we know Gods word will come true at the end . Under the circumstances could our prayers change fulfilling the end times or any other Bible have prophesied? God will protect Israel any way as promised won’t he?
After The Millennium
Published: November 5, 2007I asked you earlier about the final destiny of children who are born during the millennium and accept Jesus as Lord to which you replied that scripture does not give us the answer. However, I also realized that I cannot find a final destiny for Israel. After the millennium what happens to them?
Also would it be right to say that Jews saved in the time of the great tribulation, the tribulation saints, the old testament saints, and the millennial children who are saved during the millennium will all share the same destiny?
Is there ANY hint as to what any of these groups’ final destinies might be?
