Do Angels Have Wings?
Published: November 20, 2007I would like your opinion on angels. Why are they always pictured as having wings? I think they’re God’s heavenly messengers so when God created them they can go through space at will. I picture it like when the rapture happens. We will have no wings. Jesus Christ in his new body left earth to heaven needing nothing special. What is your opinion? Thank you, and may God bless you for all you do for Him.
Identifying The 144,000
Published: November 19, 2007A thought just crossed my mind. Do you think that through DNA processing science might be able to separate the 12 tribes spoken of in Rev. so that 12000 from each tribe might be identified?
Oneness Doctrine
Published: November 19, 2007I have been saved and re baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have been told this was not necessary by my brother’s girlfriend who is catholic. She said I was baptized as a baby and that is all I need. She said my church (which is the world of Pentecostal) believes in this oneness and it is very wrong, that I will be held accountable before God for teaching my children this way. I have been in my church for 5 yrs and have found what I believe is the truth. Preacher shows in the Bible that yes they are they Father Son and Holy Spirit, but only one name can save us and that is Jesus Christ. That God manifested himself in the flesh and was Jesus. So my question to you is do you believe Jesus and God are one?
The Believer’s Seal And The 144,000
Published: November 14, 2007Recently, I was put on the spot in front of my Church to debate a pastor who will be taking over early next year. I am pre – trib, and he is post trib. Curiously, during the debate, he asserted that the Christians would be sealed and protected by God through the tribulation, based on Ephes. 1:13. I think that the seal of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of Christians as a surety against our final redemption is very different from the seal of the name of the Lamb’s Father in the foreheads of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists during the tribulation.
The seal of the Holy Spirit in our hearts did not prevent millions of Christians from being slain through the ages, albeit that each of them had a soft landing. What do you think?
Peace Conference?
Published: November 14, 2007I write this with a great deal of anguish concerning the upcoming so-called peace conference to be held at the end of this month. I feel so compelled to pray against it and pray for Israel that my heart aches and tears fall.
My concern is whether I am praying contrary to God’s will if these events are leading up to the Rapture/tribulation period and in His divine plan. I know that we are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem – which really is praying for Jesus’ return. I try to do this daily but I just keep feeling like what is going to take place is so wrong. How can I know what God’s will re: this event is?
Could A Woman Have Written Hebrews?
Published: November 13, 2007I have really enjoyed reading your insights on various topics especially end times. I have shared your website with many people.
I have read some books that speculate that the author of Hebrews was a woman and that is why it was unknown, since women were less than nothing in those days. Something to think about.
More On The Nephilim
Published: November 13, 2007In your three part series on the Nephilim, you mention their presence in the Old Testament after the flood. I’m familiar with the verses you mention, but wonder if you have an opinion on how they re-emerged since one would think they had been destroyed by the flood.
If you have any thoughts on this question, I would appreciate knowing what you think.
Move The UN To Babylon?
Published: November 11, 2007Is it possible that the key to understanding how Babylon will re-evolve lies with the location of the United Nations?
The U.N. certainly could be considered a candidate for the one world gov. or at least will be the vehicle by which the anti-christ takes control and rules. If New York were crippled and the U.N. building destroyed (along with the U.S. economy in the process) by a terrorist strike, then the U.N. would HAVE to move to a new uncontaminated location and again it might be politically correct to the world to move it to Babylon.
Average Age Of Accountability
Published: November 11, 2007In your opinion what would you say would be the average or norm in the US for a range of age to include in the age of accountability?
Thirteen is the most common number given for the age of accountability based on the Jewish custom that a child becomes an adult at the age of 13. However, the Bible gives no direct support to the age of 13 always being the age of accountability. It likely varies from child to child, since I understand that a child has passed the age of accountability once he or she is capable of making a faith decision for or against Christ.
Dangerous Writings
Published: November 9, 2007I am seeing more of this type of writing arise after the popularity of the DaVinci Code. How do we refute the statements made below (by an atheist author)?
She claims: 1. Only a few secular historians even mention Jesus’ existence, and Christian apologetics continue to quote the same ones over and over again, but the fact is that most secular Roman and Jewish historians during Jesus’ time made no mention of him.
2. Much of the traditions of Christianity were borrowed from Persian and Roman pagan rituals; Trinity, blood and wine sacrifice, virgin birth, resurrection, Son of Man, Bread of God, Only begotten son.
These types of writings are dangerous and are becoming more common. They can weaken and perhaps destroy a person’s faith.
