Holy Week Events
Published: April 1, 2008Could you elaborate on the exact dates this year for Palm Sunday, the passover meal, the Crucifixion, and Resurrection Morning. This is the first year I was aware of the difference between Easter and the Passover. I abstained from the first celebration and would like to honor the Lord at the Passover. Thank you very much.
Post Rapture Pet Care
Published: March 31, 2008I’ve read your response to a previous writer who expressed fear about his/her pets once the Rapture happens. I understand that we have no need to fear about missing our pets and/or whether pets will be with us in heaven because the Lord wants only our happiness when we come to be with Him, and am comforted by that. However, my real fear pertains to what will happen to our pets once we are gone?
I don’t have any relatives or friends near by and I live alone. I’m assuming after the Rapture, it will be each man for himself for those unbelievers left behind, so I don’t have much faith that those left behind would be kind enough to look for pets in abandoned houses. I envision that after the Rapture, my pets (who are strictly housebound) will just be left to starve to death.
Do you have any words of wisdom or thoughts about this for me?
Forgive Us Our Sins
Published: March 27, 2008The Bible says when we are saved that all our sins we have committed are forgiven including the ones we commit in the future. My question is this: My ex husband of almost 36 yrs committed adultery continually which I just found out about recently. He told me when he divorced me for his best friend’s wife, 20 yrs younger, that he was forgiven for everything he does & will do in the future. He knew God wanted him to work on our marriage but he said he just couldn’t do that. He has yet to tell me & our 2 adult children he is sorry for hurting us & abusing us & still feels he has done nothing wrong but that he just wanted to be happy!
Although He ripped my heart out & I wanted to die, I have forgiven my ex. Now I live for Jesus, my children, grandson & God’s will.
Mid Acts Dispensationalism
Published: March 26, 2008I have been speaking to some people who call themselves Mid-Acts dispensationalists. I have heard of this before, but I was never able to understand their position.
When I realized that they exclude the early Jewish church, and even the Apostles from the body of Christ I was just shocked.
I used Scripture and proved them wrong but they are determined to stick to their belief. I simply cannot understand why they are so extremely adamant about this.
I have begun to wonder if the mid-acts is another, more subtle form of Replacement Theology. What do you think?
Why Count From 1967?
Published: March 26, 2008I really enjoy your mp3 studies. It seems they don’t come fast enough.
Having listened to your Prophecy 2008 series, I am curious about something you said. You mentioned the window of opportunity for the Lord’s Return as being sometime between 2018 & 2037; adding 70 years (the lifespan of a generation) to 1948 & 1967.
Why would you say that? Doesn’t the beginning of the signs of the End Times start with the rebirth of Israel, since it came before the retaking of Jerusalem? Why the confusion? Adding 70 years to 1967, is like saying the rebirth of Israel was not that significant to count as the beginning of signs.
Monogamy Or Polygamy?
Published: March 25, 2008I have been told that God was the originator of giving man more than one wife, in earlier times, because he was building a nation. I think on such Bible patriarchs such as Abraham, David, Solomon, Jacob and Moses, who were allowed to have many wives and in some instances were even given another by God.
So my questions is, were all these major Bible characters committing sin by having multiple wives and was God just ignoring it or have they been unfairly treated by later generations? Can you provide solid evidence that Polygamy is of God or of Man?
Emerging Church Follow Up
Published: March 24, 2008As a follow up to ‘The Emergent Church’ and ‘Purpose Driven Ministries’ I have a question for you.
As far as I understand, the particular teachings of these two types of church center around seeking out non-Christians – but water down the Gospel in the process.
If we are not to become involved in this type of ministry, what is our purpose as Christians living in these final days before the rapture? Is it not our duty to spread the Word and do as Jesus instructed ‘…go and make disciples..’?
I feel quite confused regarding this matter. Although I don’t subscribe to ‘purpose driven teachings’, I have always taught my children that we are to be witnesses to God’s grace through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Are we still to reach out to the unsaved or just live our lives as we are? In short – what is God’s will for our lives?
The New Sanhedrin
Published: March 24, 2008Have you read (a well known author’s) book on The New Temple and the Second Coming? He shows apparent evidence that the Sanhedrin court has reconvened and is in the process of preparing in all matters for temple worship.
Talmud of Immanuel
Published: March 20, 2008I have been reading something that says the Talmud of Immanuel was the original Book of Mathew in Aramaic. I would like your insight into this. It makes me wonder if this is leading people to believe in the Antichrist. It seems very misleading and does not fit with the translation of the Abomination of Desolation translation.
Religion And Politics
Published: March 18, 2008What is your opinion on (a well-known Pastor) that has been in the news lately? Is there really a white church and a black church? There are a few black people that attend my church, but other than that it is white. I just want some clear thinking opinion on this.
