What Did God Do On The Eighth Day? Follow Up

Published: June 11, 2008
Q

You recently replied to one of my questions by directing me to your article, “What did God do on the Eighth day?”

It was actually this article that made me ask the question, so I read over it again several times. I believe you are stating that someone who accepts the gift of salvation, commits their life to God and strives daily to draw closer to him, but has the additional belief that if they were to stray away from Him, they could lose their salvation, this particular person would not truly be saved at all, and would someday find themselves in Hell. Is this what you believe?

Is The Anti-Christ Jewish?

Published: June 10, 2008
Q

Thank you for your service to all who enjoy and learn from your site! Does the anti-Christ have to be Jewish or of Jewish decent? Or or just of middle eastern decent? I know this has been a major topic of discussion, but I’m unable to locate the info I’m looking for that suggests that he need not be Jewish.

Haunted House?

Published: June 9, 2008
Q

When I was young I was told never to believe in ghosts. When I got a little older I noticed strange things happening in our old house. I was always told these things were because the house was old. So being told I was silly I brushed it off.

When I was in high school my parents built a new house right behind the old one and then tore it down. After we moved all the strange things seemed to stop and then one day it all began again. One night not too long after going to sleep I got that odd feeling that someone was staring at me. I saw a man standing 3 foot away from the foot of my bed just staring at me, my body stiffened up and I couldn’t move. Later, my parents searched the whole house and my room all windows and doors had been locked the whole time.

My mom confessed that in our old house one night when she was making dinner she got this weird feeling so she turned around and was face to face with someone. She said she immediately closed her eyes and stood there for about a minute and then reluctantly opened her eyes and no one was there. My brother admitted that he had always had this feeling that he wasn’t alone, that someone was watching. Its been said that they are demons though they have never hurt us should we fear them? Are they with us for a reason or just to scare us?

Judgment Day

Published: June 4, 2008
Q

I know that Hebrews 9:27 says “man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment”. Does that mean people are judged right after they die, or does it refer to the “The Day of Judgment” where everyone will be judged at once?

How Can He Be Saved? Follow Up

Published: June 4, 2008
Q

May God continue to bless you. I receive a blessing every time I read your teachings. In reading the question: “how can he be saved” and your answer, it brought to mind a question I have been pondering for a long time.

In light of OSAS, I have to wonder how the Lord will handle the fate of the flamboyant, outrageous, pontifical, and sometimes outright deceitful preachers we hear and see on radio/tv? It really bothers me to know that these men and women ( supposedly saved ) are deliberately or ignorantly misleading the people who believe they are hearing the truth. Do they go home at night and pray for forgiveness? What do you believe is the answer to this obvious distortion of God’s word, and what will be God’s reward for them? It begs the question “how can ‘they’ be saved”?

OSAS And Romans 11:22

Published: June 4, 2008
Q

A teacher used Romans 11:22 defending the statement that to remain saved we must follow the commandments or be cut off. He also cites James 2:14and 24-26 to back this up. And if we commit “Deadly Sins” our souls are dead and a person is not saved anymore. I understand John 3:16 but there seems to be (in my mind) a contradiction. This topic really bothered me when I read it, and I almost feel like it is going to come down my individual interpretation.

Does The Devil Cause Bad Weather?

Published: June 4, 2008
Q

It is my understanding that the bad weather (earthquakes, tornados, etc.) that we have now are demonic and not ‘acts of God’. I have found many scriptures that I feel back this indirectly but none that say directly that the weather we are having is from the evil in the world. Can you help me?

Demonic Attachment?

Published: June 3, 2008
Q

Thank you for the time you take to answer so many questions every day. I have another one for you.

My dad is a really bad alcoholic. He battled his addiction for many years while me and my siblings were younger, but he got sober after my mom left him. He stayed sober for a long time, until I went to college. Then he starting drinking again.

I have heard many people say that if you are saved, then you cannot be possessed. I am wondering if this is the same as having a demonic attachment of some sort. When my dad gets drunk and falls asleep (which is every night), he screams and cusses in his sleep. He screams horrible things, and it’s like he is being tortured. When he wakes up, he has no recollection of it. I know that this is demonic.

My question is, if my dad is saved, would he still have this demonic attachment? My dad has never been baptized, and it is almost impossible to have a coherent conversation with him about Christ. I just don’t think that someone who is saved would have these problems. Am I wrong? Thank you for your time.

Psalm 83 And Zechariah 14

Published: May 30, 2008
Q

I had a question after reading your article on Psalm 83. Well, two things.

Do you think it’s interesting that we may also have a Barak in charge here soon?

And two, when do you think Zech. 14:2 will happen? “Half the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.” They are talking of dividing Jerusalem and giving East Jerusalem to the Palestinians, which of course will result in them terrorizing the residents. Don’t you think that is more imminent, or perhaps will be the result of this battle you are expecting.

More On Speaking In Tongues

Published: May 29, 2008
Q

For a long time my friend and I have been trying to figure out the issue of speaking in tongues. The Bible talks about different tongues, various tongues, strange tongues, other tongues and new tongues. It also mentions the tongues of men and angels. How many kinds of tongues are there? And why do some seem to repeat a few words over and over when speaking in tongues?
