A Question About The Anti-Christ

Published: June 27, 2008
Q

I know The anti-christ will come out of the Revived Roman Empire. What if the US ends up joining with them if oil and the economy forces us to? Barak Obama is going to go around the world this summer. Whoever heard of a not yet official nominee doing this? Why couldn’t he be a “little horn” in this new world order that world leaders seem to want so badly?

The Shack, Follow Up

just read your reply to a question about the book “The Shack”. I appreciate your work and generally believe that you are right on and Spirit lead in your writings.

However all things considered I think this book is more of a tool of Satan to compromise and distort the Truth than a tool to help us understand God’s love.

I encourage you to read the commentaries I’ve included and consider todays headline on FoxNews.com about the state of Christian faith today.

Leaving Our Clothes Behind

Published: June 19, 2008
Q

When our Lord was resurrected, He left His grave clothes behind. I know a lady who is horrified to think she may go naked up into the air in the rapture, before “God and everybody.”

While we are talking about the subject, what is the significance, what are we to learn, from the face cloth folded and laid separately?

Coming Events?

Published: June 19, 2008
Q

I was wondering if you could comment on a vision by (a well known TV preacher) about what is possibly coming to the US soon. The message is more than just a vision. It is a specific message for the Church and the true believers. In a nut shell it says:

There is a big incident/crisis coming to the US and the rising fuel prices are just the tip of it. He even admits that he is not 100% clear on what it is, but he senses that it has to do with Israel, Iran, Syria and the US, and the global impact on fuel and food that it will experience. In any case, the actual warning is that the Church is supposed to take care of its own people first, then help the lost, and in doing so the lost will come in and give glory to God. There is a warning that many false Christians and non-Christians will try to act like believers in order to get help, but that we need to be careful.

He goes on to say that we are not to be frightened when it happens, but rather to be filled with the Spirit and rise up to declare the Gospel to the perishing. He also thinks that the Rapture is indeed imminent, but we may go through this crisis first, then we are out of here. He said that the crisis will be rather brief actually, which leads me to think that it will be a great time for the Gospel to be preached, and that our words will still have a great impact when the 70th week begins.

Just curious what your thoughts are on this and what you think is coming to the US in the near future.

The Shack

Q

I have several saved and unsaved friends who have been reading a book titled “The Shack.” I’m not sure if you’ve read it or not. A lot of my friends are raving about the book and they are discussing it as some new “truth” about God. The ones who like it the most are the ones who have admitted they haven’t read the Bible. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and I enjoy a good story as much as the next person – so I tried to read the book.

Since folks were touting it as some new “revelation” about God – I made sure that my “Scriptural glasses” were squeaky clean when I read. With that in mind – it was hard for me to enjoy the book because so much of it didn’t line up with what I know from the Scriptures. I stopped reading when it got very off-Scripture about “all roads” leading to God. The bottom line is that it’s a fictional story and shouldn’t be any big deal, but it has become dangerous because people are embracing it as Truth. If you have read it – what did you think about it?

King Of The Locusts

Published: June 18, 2008
Q

We have been studying Joel recently and I wonder if you know if there was a fulfillment of the locust invasion in Joel’s time in which natural locusts ate everything, and if the locusts spoken about in 1:18-2:20 are the same ones spoken of in Revelation 9? The reason I ask is because in the beginning of the book of Joel it says that the locusts ate everything, but in Revelation 9 the locusts were told not to touch the grass or trees or any green thing. The locusts in chapter 2 of Joel must be supernatural as it says in 2:8 “when they fall on the sword they are not wounded.”

I have heard that Amos 7:1 is translated in the Septuagint differently than in our modern translations and that it mentions gog being the king of the locusts. The way I have heard it translated is : “And behold a swarm of locusts was coming, and one of the young devastating locusts was gog the king.” This seems to tie in with Revelation 9 where the king of these locusts is Apollyon or Abaddon, another name for Satan. Thank you so much for your willingness to answer our questions. Any thoughts?

Is 10 Days Significant?

Published: June 17, 2008
Q

I was recently reading an article about another bride type (Abigail and David and Nabal) and in the story (1 Samuel) Nabal takes ten days to die. Now Rebbeca stayed with her family ten days and Jesus told His disciples they would have tribulation ten days. Can you tell me what the significance is of those ten days and how and where they fit in with us in these last days?

Judgment By Weather

Q

You said that you felt the bad storms and such could be judgments from God. Right now Iowa is having horrible flooding. My question is if God is allowing this to send a message then why do you think the Midwest, America’s heartland, always gets hit. Why not California or the biggie Las Vegas, Nevada!

Is Demonic Visitation Possible?

Published: June 16, 2008
Q

I have a friend who is a born again believer. She recently told me that she saw something in her house that frightened her. She believes it was a demon. After that, she has ” felt” something touch her. She said most recently, she felt like something was choking her. I suggested she talk to her pastor about this but she is afraid that he might think she is going crazy. Have you ever had experience with yourself or someone you know who is a believer being physically attacked by a demon? Do you have any suggestions I can pass along to my friend?

Getting Baptized

Published: June 14, 2008
Q

I have two questions on baptism. For those of us who can not find a true bible believing Church, how do we get baptised? My family and I would all love to be baptised, but don’t know any other Christians we can ask to do this….and we do not want to be baptized into a specific denomination…

My other question is this. Through the years I have attended many Churches and have seen alter calls yet they never offer to baptize new converts immediately afterwards….shouldn’t the two go hand in hand (understanding of course that baptisim doesn’t play a part in salvation)?
