The gifts of the Spirit in the Bible lists speaking in tongues. Why do only Charismatic type churches practice this gift. Most other churches say it ended, I am confused. Where does it say it ended. The Bible does not say the other gifts ended, why that one?

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I was asked a question for which I really had no answer. Question is very simple and straightforward. Say a mother is pregnant and is having complications during her pregnancy and giving birth to a child may cause her to loose her life. In this case would abortion be valid to save the mother or are we to save the child?

Some say that 2 Cor. 5:6-8 means we Christians when we die, our spirit will go to be with the Lord. Our bodies and souls (mind, will, emotions) stay asleep until Christ returns at the last trumpet. I am confused as to whether the body with the soul is asleep and the spirit goes to be with the Lord. If the soul is asleep with the body, then what does the spirit do with the Lord and what about those who are alive will be caught up in the air with those who are raised from sleep?

So where do we, and what part of us go, when we die?

What are your thoughts on the interfaith meeting in Madrid? I wonder if the “one world religion” could simply be the “tolerance” espoused by so many these days. It’s okay to be any faith, as long as you don’t put your beliefs into action, or even speak them. I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Do you feel that Rome, Vatican, Catholic Church, etc. will play a major role during the tribulation? I feel that sometimes people are afraid to point the finger at the Catholic Church in prophecy–Daniel and Revelation. I was in the Catholic Church for 15 years and thankfully 2 years ago God opened my eyes to see how HIs Word differs from the teachings of the Catholic Church. Thanks for your website.

I have frequently heard it said that nothing else has to happen before the rapture can take place. This may be true, but it seems like there is to much left to take place, for it all to happen after the rapture, if the rapture was to occur now. I do realize that the last seven years doesn’t start at the occurrence of the rapture, but at the time of the seven year peace contract between Israel and the anti-Christ.

I don’t understand the apparent contradiction in 1 John 1:8-10 versus 1 John 3:6-9. Am I misunderstanding something, if we claim we have not sinned we make God out to be a liar, but if we continue to sin this is evidence that we are not born of God? I know that I am a saint who sins … but please enlightenment me on these verses.

I was thinking about the so called Star of Bethlehem. Do you think it was really a giant star in the sky that the whole earth could see or was it something that only those who knew where to look would have recognized?
