Spring Rapture?
Published: January 19, 2009Hello. My brother said the sermon at his church last night was about a Springtime Rapture. Have you ever heard of this? He said the pastor taught from the book of Ruth and another book, which escapes me at the moment, and he said that things point to a Spring Rapture, which included the time between April and August. I’ve never heard of the time of the year for the Rapture being pin-pointed. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your wonderful website!
Judging Angels
Published: January 19, 2009Hello, first I want to tell you that I love your site. I’ve learned so many things and have enjoyed the studies you’ve conducted. I want to thank you for all your hard work and the wealth of information you provide everyone.
The question that I have has to do with a verse in Corinthians. In Corinthians 6:3 Paul says “Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?” Frankly, I have no idea what that means. I’ve wondered does it mean we will judge the fallen angels, or if it means something completely different.
I’d appreciate it a lot if you could clear up for me what Paul is trying to say. Thanks again, and God bless.
The Beast … System Or Man?
Published: January 18, 2009Thanks for your great articles. I recently received from a friend a DVD called “Cracking the Prophetic Code”. He says the beast is a system, not a man. I stopped watching after about 20 minutes when I realized this was what he was teaching. My thought is in chapter 19 the beast is cast alive into the lake of fire. Only a man could be cast alive, right? Just a quick note from you would suffice, or could you do an article? I really appreciate your columns. I have on occasion used them at our home fellowship.
Babylon The Great
Published: January 18, 2009I wanted to ask you if you’ve seen where the US is pledging something like 700,000 dollars to rebuilding ancient Babylon. An internet news site had an article on it, and at the end of the article they quoted a verse and I can’t recall where but I’ll paraphrase. “The land will be uninhabited forever, the land will be desolate…”
I believe the Bible speaks clearly on Babylon and that the ancient city will be revived and become an economic center for the anti-christ. It seems they quoted that verse to say the efforts to continue rebuilding ancient Babylon, modern Iraq will be futile. What do you think? I am overwhelmed at the moving of God before our very eyes! Our departure is near!
What About The Fallen Angels?
Published: January 16, 2009I have a question about Satan’s angels. Does the Bible offer any clues as to their motivation for joining Satan in his rebellion? While people have the weak excuse that they have never seen God, Satan’s angels have all been in His presence. Satan wanted to be “like the Most High”, but all his angels knew that they would be subordinate to him. So why would they betray God when they knew He was real and quite likely to get very mad? What could the devil have offered them?
Also, what becomes of them after Satan is bound? From the Bible, it looks like Satan himself is the only one who is imprisoned for the 1000 years. What are they supposed to do during that time? Wouldn’t at least one of them have the pride and initiative to take over Satan’s place? They already back stabbed God, why would any of them have a problem doing it to Satan?
Wiping Away Our Tears
Published: January 15, 2009The Scriptures say that there will be no tears in Heaven. What will happen to our memories then? If someone I loved turned out not to be a believer and I knew they didn’t get to Heaven, I don’t think I could take it.
Israel Or Palestine?
Published: January 11, 2009The other day I was at work and talking to a co-worker and Israel came up about the war. He was saying that the Israelis were not being fair to the Palestinian people because it was not their land (country). He was saying to give the land back to the Palestine people. Could you put some clarity on this?
One Year Sooner?
Published: January 11, 2009I have enjoyed reading through your web site. I notice that you make several references to the second coming happening 70 years after the rebirth of Israel in 1948. Thus, by assuming our calendar year of 365 days, the second coming could happen in 2018 with a rapture in 2011. However, if you assume a 360 day year (a prophetic year), and calculate that 70 360 day years equals roughly 69 365 day years, then the second coming could actually occur in 2017 with a rapture sometime in 2010. Basically, a 360 day year would make everything happen a full year earlier than you suggest. Any comments?
Another Rapture Timing Question
Published: January 10, 2009First of all, I just want to commend you for your excellent Biblical responses. I have a question regarding the Rapture. I know none of us know the exact time of this event. You maintain that the Rapture will more than likely occur before the 7 year Tribulation. When I read 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-9, it almost seems that the Rapture will occur during the middle of the Tribulation when perhaps the Holy spirit is taken out of the way,and the man of lawlessness is revealed when he takes his seat in the Temple. Could you help me settle this dilemma ? Would the Holy Spirit possibly be taken out of the way( through us) before the Tribulation or during the middle of the Tribulation. Thanks for your response.
Israel And Turkey
Published: January 8, 2009You have said in your Ezekiel 38 studies that a critical sign of that battle’s nearness would be Turkey changing sides and abandoning its alliance with Israel. Is that starting to happen yet?
