Is Gambling A Sin?
Published: March 4, 2009I want to know if gambling in general is a sin or just certain forms. The reason I ask this is because my spring break is coming up and I wanted to gamble at a casino on my trip. I decided I would play with $100 and none more. If I win some, great. If not, no big deal. I like the rush of a winning hand, it’s just for excitement. I’ve played before and lost about $70 and it was no big deal, just something to do on vacation. I know I’m not going to develop a gambling problem, so is it still a sin?
Was There An Ice Age?
Published: March 4, 2009Since there is no mention of it in the Bible I have often wondered if there actually ever was an “ice age” as many in science claim with certainty there was, or if all the physical evidence that they point to was actually caused by the flood. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Are We Closer To The Rapture Now?
Published: March 3, 2009Now that Mr. Netanyahu is the prime minister of Israel it seems more possible (to me) that Psalm 83 could come into the picture. It is a more likely scenario now than in the case of victory of his political opponents, knowing both parties political stance and ideas about the peace process. I read opinions from those who think that Mr. Netanyahu going to bend to the international pressure concerning the peace process and there will be an agreement (land for peace if necessary). They are anxiously waiting for a peace agreement to happen which can be confirmed by the future AC, cause they yearn for the rapture. Their fear is that the more distant the peace agreement seems the more distant the rapture is. I’d like to know our opinion.
Maintaining Tribal Identity
Published: March 3, 2009My question is, during the time of Jesus Ministry, was there tribal identity? If yes, is that the reason Luke and Matthew were able to accurately write the genealogy of Jesus in the gospels? Did the Jews have some remnant of the other 10 tribes of Israel in their midst during the ministry of Jesus?
Also, how do the present-day people of Israel tell to which tribe they belong to? Can the tribal identity be found out through some of the latest Bio-technologies using DNA samples of a Jewish person? And how does God separate the twelve tribes apart in Rev 7:4-8 before the Great Tribulation begins? Will He be the first to separate the tribes of present-day Israel through His omniscience and allow them to enter the Millennium once again by their tribal identity?
More On Speaking In Tongues
Published: March 1, 2009I have always heard that speaking in tongues in the evidence of the baptism of the holy spirit. My Mother has never spoke in tongues but I am sure she is spirit filled. I know she is very shy and feels people are always looking down on her. Because of her my brother and sister are saved along with many of my extended family on my fathers side. She wants to have a prayer language. Also I cannot find the verse in the bible that states that speaking in tongues is evidence. Thank you so much for your help on this. I love reading your website. It has been alot of help to me.
Ezekiel And The Fall Of Judah
Published: February 26, 2009Why did God have Ezekiel prophesy the destruction of Israel and Judah? I thought Israel and Judah were already destroyed before the days of Ezekiel because, Ezekiel said in the beginning of his book that he was in the midst of captivity. Where was Ezekiel located (where did he live) during the time he was prophesying?
Could The Anti-Christ Be Moslem?
Published: February 23, 2009I know there are differing opinions on who and where the anti-Christ comes from. Is there any indication that he may be a Muslim? Seeing that the whole region was a part of the Roman Empire is it possible. Or do you think he will be of European descent?
Angel Sex, Follow Up
Published: February 20, 2009Your website is great. In your answers about women and fallen Angels you state that Angels can have sex but don’t. I find it thoughtful that God gave the Angels an ability and then told them not to use it. Your thoughts please?
Explaining The Transfiguration, Follow Up
Published: February 18, 2009I enjoyed your response to Explaining the Transfiguration. Although I have never thought of that way, I appreciate the added insight. I always understood that passage to mean that Jesus was referring to the Apostle John. Of course, John was the only apostle who died of natural causes, but was privileged to be the recorder of Christ’s revelation, and therefore saw Him in the future on His throne before, during, and after the Earth’s judgments commenced.
Sabbath In The Millennium, Follow Up
Published: February 17, 2009Re: Sabbath In The Millennium
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “The gate of the inner court facing east is to be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day and on the day of the New Moon it is to be opened. The prince is to enter from the outside through the portico of the gateway and stand by the gatepost. The priests are to sacrifice his burnt offering and his fellowship offerings. He is to worship at the threshold of the gateway and then go out, but the gate will not be shut until evening. On the Sabbaths and New Moons the people of the land are to worship in the presence of the LORD at the entrance to that gateway.” Ezekiel 46:1-3
Will you please provide a discussion of what this Scripture means? What is going on? Who does what? Who is the “prince” (with a lower case “p”)? Who is “he” that is “to worship”?
