Burning Magog’s Weapons

Published: June 12, 2009
Q

I love your site, i recently saw a Question someone sent in about Magog, and burning of weapons, etc…. I noticed in your answer to the person you mentioned ” And what would they burn? Even rifle stocks are no longer wooden. ” I didn’t know if you knew this or not but Russia has been using Lignostone in the production of its weapons. Lignostone “is a special kind of wood used for ‘coke breakers.’ It is stronger than steel, is very elastic… and it burns better than coal.” It definitely makes sense now about the burning the weapons.

The Ark And The Abomination

Published: June 11, 2009
Q

Thank you for your study and for answering our questions. My question is do you think we could be missing a literal reading of Dan 9:27? I know many translations vary, but Luther translated it “And upon the wings shall stand the abomination of desolation” and I was wondering if it could possibly mean that the antichrist might set up an image, whether a statue or a hologram of himself, right atop the rebuilt ark in the rebuilt temple. The mercy seat above the ark has two angels with outspread wings. Isn’t the mercy seat supposed to become the throne of Jesus when He comes to reign in the new Jerusalem. What better place to put an idol of himself?

Moslem Vs. Christian Prophecy

Published: June 11, 2009
Q

I’ve noticed many times that when speaking of End Times, many teachers seem to give the Islamic prophecies the same credence as they do to Biblical prophecies. Is there a basis for belief in any Islamic prophecies? Some Christian teachers compare the Mahdi with the AC as if he is really going to show up in the End Times.

Animal Sacrifice, Follow Up

Published: June 11, 2009
Q

I recently read your article entitled “Animal Sacrifice in the Millennium”. I just don’t understand why innocent animals will continue (in the Millennium) to be condemned to suffer for the sins of man, especially when Jesus himself died to cleanse us of our sins? I read through the scripture you quoted, and I don’t see how it supports this practice.

As I understand it, man was condemned to eat the flesh of animals after Adam and Eve fell from grace in the Garden of Eden. Before that, they ate the fruits and vegetables God provided, as it states in Genesis 1:29 and Genesis 2:8-9.

A Jewish Response To The Trinity

Published: June 10, 2009
Q

Thank you for your website. In Genesis 1:26 in the NKJV it says “Let us make man in Our image” and in Genesis 3:22 it says “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil”. I believe Christians see these verses as references to the Trinity but my question is how have Jews of the past and present typically viewed these verses through Judaism?

Ezekiel 38 And Daniel’s 70th Week

Published: June 9, 2009
Q

I have felt for some time that the battle would have to be at a minimum of 3.5 years prior to the seven year Tribulation. The Bible states the Jews will burn the weapons of the enemy for seven years. We are clearly taught that at the Abomination of Desolation (Mid Trib) the Jews will know to flee, not grab a jacket, but flee. I personally don’t see the Jews loading up a bunch of Soviet weapons for the journey or mad dash. Plus I think a large portion of the trib will be on foot anyway. Back the clock up seven years and that would put you 3.5 years prior to the Tribulation. I don’t have my feet dug in on this but would like to know what you thank. God Bless you for your Ministry.

Wheat And Tares Vs. Sheep And Goats

Published: June 8, 2009
Q

In Matt 13, Christ gives the parable of the tares and wheat. He then gives the meaning of the parable. When does this occur? I’ve always seen this as the Second Coming, but the Lord’s explanation says the angels gather the wicked and they will cast them into the furnace. If this is the Second Coming, then how does this work with the Sheep and Goats Judgment? How can you gather the wicked (which is what I picture Matt 24:36-41 referencing) and toss them in the furnace, and yet have a sheep and goats judgment? Won’t all the wicked already be in the furnace?

Judging The Righteous And The Unrighteous

Published: June 8, 2009
Q

How could the Lord indiscriminately send judgment on both the righteous and the wicked in Ezekiel 21? Maybe it show us that we as well will go through the Great Tribulation?

Am I Really Saved?

Published: June 7, 2009
Q

I have been a believer since as far back as I can remember. It is only as of recently that I have come up with questions that I have asked many times to no avail. I feel that I believe in Jesus as my savior and acknowledge that I am a sinner and know that Jesus is the only way to heaven and to a awesome life of happiness when he returns. My problem is I an unsure if this is a head knowledge or a heart knowledge or even both.

I know a great deal about what the Bible says and have been brought up to accept it. I just feel that because I have been brought up in it and never had to learn it at an older age as opposed to a younger age when one believes everything their told, that maybe its just habit or something. I want so bad to know that I am saved but fear that I can’t be until my head and heart can agree. Any thoughts?

Is Baptism Required?

Published: June 7, 2009
Q

I recently attended a church that is part of the Restoration Movement. This is the first I’d heard of it, but what puzzled me is that they believe baptism is necessary for salvation. They quote Acts 2:38 and Mark 16:16 in their literature. Could you please give your take on these verses?
