Israel’s Flight From The Anti-Christ

Published: July 3, 2009
Q

As I understand scripture and your explanations, it seems that there will be two flights from Jerusalem. First is the immediate flight into the desert to Bosrah/Petra, taking not even a moment to grab a coat, at the news of the Abomination and the start of the Great Tribulation. Then ther’ll will be a second flight at the fall of the City during Armageddon. At least three and one-half years must elapse between the two flights to allow time for the Great Tribulation to take place. Am I correct thus far?

Are we told why the rush to escape the city? Should one assume that God will be enraged by the Abomination and begin raining fire, etc. immediately? Should one assume the Elect will be protected during their escape if they have obeyed the command to be quick? Is there a planned, quick get-away, escape route for the first evacuation at that time?

Moving The Ark Of The Covenant

Published: July 3, 2009
Q

As an archeology buff, the “Ark of the Covenant” is a fascinating subject and I really wish someone would find it. The question I have is, since the presence of the Lord is no longer dwelling in the ark itself, would we be able to touch it today if it were found or would the “don’t touch” rule still apply?

What Happens To Aborted Babies?

Published: July 2, 2009
Q

What happens to the souls of aborted babies? If the answer is they go straight to heaven, does this not make infanticide the greatest form of evangelism ever discovered and Dr. George Tiller one of the greatest evangelists of all time?

Although the scriptures do not speak to this hypothesis, are these souls possibly born in the Millennial reign of Jesus? Such an assertion would logically suggest the same for all children that die before the age of accountability and the mentally incapacitated.

Russia’s Involvement In Ezekiel 38

Published: July 2, 2009
Q

In the upcoming battle of Gog/Magog is it possible that that majority of the direct Russian involvement in this battle is more by military advisors and Russian equipment (such as in Vietnam and the Korean war)? I don’t hear much about Russia hating or wanting the destruction of Israel but all the other countries or regions mentioned in Biblical Prophecy definitely hate the Jews. I know Syria and Lybia and some in Turkey get a great deal of Russian equipment and military weapons. Aside from that there doesn’t seem to be any incentive for Russia to attack, does there? Other than they can sell more weapons to some of those countries around Israel who wish to attack them.

Explaining Matt. 11:12

In Matthew 11:12, who is taking the kingdom by force, what does this passage mean?? I have tried to find a commentary on it but to no avail.

Between The Rapture And Daniel’s 70th Week

Published: July 1, 2009
Q

I want to thank you again for answering my questions. I certainly have a lot of them, but you seem to be the only teacher with answers.

I might be thinking too much into this, but the Age of Grace ends with the Rapture, which can happen anytime before the Anti-Christ signs the peace treaty, right? And, when he signs the peace treaty, the last 7 years of the Age of Law begins again, if I’m correct. So…what age (if there is one) is inbetween the Rapture and Daniel’s 70th week?

2 Thes. 2:3, Falling Away Or Departure?

Published: July 1, 2009
Q

The other night I was listening to (a well known teacher) concerning the rapture. He brought up 2nd Thess. 2:3 where in a lot of translations it’s called the falling away or the “apostate Church! He said that the Greek word seemed to also mean “departing” which would be more evidence for the pre – tribulation rapture. I have the Geneva translation and they use “the departing” instead of “the falling away”! I’m sure that others have written to you concerning this! I do think that as the days progress with time closing in that not only is this great news but we will have more understanding concering the times (as long as it’s fitting in the scriptures).

Angel Or Eagle?

Published: June 30, 2009
Q

I’ve read Revelation about 100 times, but just finally had an “ah ha!” moment regarding 8:13. Why is it that throughout Revelation it is angels pouring out bowls of wrath and blowing trumpets, etc., and then all of a sudden an eagle shows up hollering “woe”? Who or what is the eagle?

In The Image Of God, Follow Up

Published: June 29, 2009
Q

Thank God for the bountiful knowledge He has given you.

I have a question that is similar to the question today regarding the meaning of “In The Image Of God”. I was listening to a popular radio show a couple of days ago and man of the Jewish faith, possibly a Rabbi, mentioned that in the Torah the meaning of “in His image” actually translates as “in His shadow”. I’m just curious as to what you think.

Saving My Wife

Published: June 29, 2009
Q

I am unequally yoked for, now, thirty years with my second wife. Although she claims to be an atheist, I believe she tends more to agnosticism. She claims things of a “spiritual” nature hold no attraction or importance in her life. Yet, she responds with hostility and even anger when the issue is even mentioned.

My wife’s hostility to the mention of spiritual matters leads me to believe she is not entirely persuaded that God does not exist, but I still see nothing apart from His intervention to allow her to consider her need for salvation.

My question, then, is there any way, except by a spiritual awakening by God Himself, to “reach” an atheist who, by the nature of her unbelief, is unaware of a need for salvation? Can one do anything except pray for God’s intervention in the case of a person who resists even the mention of things of a spiritual nature?
