Does God Hear The Sinner’s Prayer?
Published: September 9, 2009If the Bible says in John 9:31 that Gods does not hear sinners then where does it say that He hears our prayer for forgiveness and acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior?
A Second Chance After We Die?
Published: September 8, 2009I have a question regarding those who have died without hearing the gospel. While I believe that God will do what is right and just, I did run across a strange (to me) article that used scripture to try to prove that after the millennium Christ will give these newly resurrected people the chance to be saved. The writer of the article used 1Cor 15:22 and Rev 20:5 as a basis for this belief. I read both, actually both chapters to try to get the context, but could not. Can you see anything in these verses that would make the writer believe that those throughout the history of the world who died without hearing about Christ will be raised to life after the millennium and be given an opportunity to accept salvation?
Why Is Satan Set Free?
Published: September 8, 2009Would you please explain why Satan is released from the bottomless pit for a short time at the end of the millennium? Why doesn’t Jesus just throw him into the lake of fire right away?
Rapture Fear
Published: September 8, 2009I have been reading with much interest your comments on the rapture and I also, like many of your subscribers, for some reason fear it. I am born again, but have doubts that I will be raptured and fear that I will be left behind. I also am a husband and father of 3 boys who are not believers. I can’t tell you how sick I feel over the fact that my family will be left behind to face the horrors spelled out in the scriptures. I pray constantly for them, (and try to witness to them) hoping that they will escape our Fathers wrath, but it just does not seem likely that this will happen.
A very large part of me wishes to be left behind to take care of my family, knowing that I may possibly bring them to faith during the tribulation. Having an understanding of the tribulation and what will take place, I also know that we would more than likely have to be martyred. (I also know that it’s God that saves and not me).
I am in constant prayer about this, but I don’t seem to be receiving any solace, peace or answers concerning this from our Father in heaven. Quite honestly as a Christian, I am not finding the joy of being one that I so desperately seek which now brings me back full circle as to whether or not I will be raptured or if I am even saved for that matter. I know and believe with all my heart that we are very close. I believe that Jesus just told the angel to put the trumpet to his lips, we’re just waiting for that trumpet blast signaling our going home. Any advice or comforting thoughts?
A License To Sin?
Published: September 7, 2009I have been reading your website for several weeks now and have enjoyed it very much. You have helped my bible study tremendously. Thank you! I must tell you though, that I was bothered by your response to the woman who wrote you about her daughter considering abortion. The first part of your response was good, but it seems to me that we should never encourage anyone to deliberately sin, even if there is forgiveness for it. If a sin is a sin is a sin, then by your standard if a Christian were to willingly commit a sin, regardless of what it is, they need only ask for forgiveness before they do it. It almost sounds as if you have condoned the false notion that many say, that we have ‘license to sin’.
Are Matt. 10 And 16 History or Prophecy?
Published: September 7, 2009I would like to hear your explanation of Mat.10:33 and Mat.16:28. I have read that some believe that this was to take place in that generation?
Why Is My Husband Like This?
Published: September 6, 2009I’m new to this site, but have been a Christian all my life. I have a perplexing problem that is the sand in my shoe. My one and only husband of 35 years, always says my faith is a fake. He really says things that hurt me and we don’t do simple things like praying together or reading the Bible together. When he dumps on me, I try to consider and make allowances for what is going on. I hope he sees the light, that what I do, I do for real, and believe with me.
I ask the Lord to help me and so far, I do not understand. Maybe you could tell me what I’m missing. I’ve asked the Lord of my life, Jesus my Savior, to take me as I am. I believe the Bible and it says all those who come to the Father through Jesus Christ will be saved. I’m baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I take communion and examine myself regularly. I read the Bible and gain insight. I love people more. God answers my other prayers so I can understand; what does it mean that my spouse is so cruel?
We go to the same church, but he does not want to go to the same Sunday school classes or worship services with me, so I’m alone much of the time. This is an ongoing issue throughout our entire married life. We have a new pastor who is just learning the congregation (we go to a Methodist church), and I do not feel comfortable asking him. I do not want to bring attention about this issue with anyone else at church either, because they see my husband as a good man and I do not want to hurt our two sons, ages 25 and 21 and their spouses, either. If I showed this email to him, he would get very angry and sarcastic.
Biblical Role Of Pastor

Have People Visited Hell And Come Back?
Published: September 5, 2009What do you think of (a well known author’s) website? She claims to have spent 40 days in Hell with Christ to witness the abominations of hell. And, is it true that according to general Albert Pike, 33rd degree Freemason, World War III is necessary to stage Anti-Christ?
A Question on Matt. 24:34
Published: September 5, 2009My question is about Matt 24:34, many people use the term generation to mean seventy years from the formation of the country of Israel in 1948 to the second coming. When Jesus spoke to the disciples wasn’t he using the Jewish year of 360 days? If you use the 360 day format then 70 years is 25,200 days for a 70 year period. Seventy years using our 365 1/4 day year would be 25,567.5 days or 367.5 more days for the same 70 year period or 2018. Using our calendar that would would work out to be 69 years or about one year less and make His second coming in 2017. Seven years earlier for the rapture would be 2010. How do you see it?
