Living In Exciting Times
Published: November 18, 2009I watch and wait eagerly for more signs of the imminent Battle described in Isaiah 17. Every day seems to bring it closer, as the partnerships between Iran, Syria, Turkey, and Muslim Africa strengthen before our very eyes! We truly live in exciting times! My question is regarding the Isaiah 17 battle, and the preceding “peace”… It seems to me that a peace that would be broken by surprise in the battle described in Ezekiel 38-39, and would also get Israel the plot of land between Jericho and Jerusalem (for burying the horde) would also get Israel the Temple Mount. It only seems reasonable to me that Israel would not be “lulled” into a peace without a Temple. It seems that if the rapture is timed between Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38, we could have even a decade still before we see our Lord. Your thoughts?
Will We Remember?
Published: November 17, 2009Is there any scripture pro or con indicating whether or not those that have died in Christ and gone to heaven still remember the lives and relationships they left back on earth? I’ve been told by several people that I respect that they don’t because that might cause them to worry or suffer grief. And although that makes sense to me they can’t give me any scripture to back this up either way. Others have said that they do remember and bring up the story of Lazarus and the rich man, but is that all there is in scripture about this subject. I am wondering what your opinion on this might be.
Living In New Jerusalem, Reigning On Earth
Published: November 17, 2009How can the church reign with Christ in the New Jerusalem when He is on the throne ruling in the Earthly Temple during the Millennium?
What About Magic?
Published: November 16, 2009I’ve been bothered as of late, with a kind of curiosity that has beset me that wants to know what is the deal with magic. I know the scriptures say that the dark arts are a bad thing. I know that dealing with anything that summons demons is a bad thing of course. My interest has brought me upon a book titled “The Book of Abramelin” This book is said to be a originally written by a Jewish Talmudist and contains information on how to achieve “knowledge and conversation” with the “Holy Guardian Angel” What are your opinions on magic and the Kabbalah, and if somebody like me who has the holy spirit within me, am I protected against the evils of magic? Or is magic an area I should avoid all together?
More on Lessons From TheMillennium
Published: November 16, 2009This doesn’t mean that the people are sinning during the millennium when Satan is bound for that time does it, but that after his release he is able to convince man to sin again, as he did Eve in the garden? And he will be released for a time, which could be quite a period of time, as in the days of Adam to Noah, it didn’t take long for the whole earth to become evil.
Will God Forgive Me?
Published: November 15, 2009I am very concerned that getting angry at God, telling Him off, and tearing the Bible means God will never forgive me. I have since seen the error of my way and even when I thought I had been doing God’s will before this incident, I was wrong. I had been baptized before all this happened. Will God forgive me now?
Another Rapture Promise
Published: November 14, 2009Thanks so very much for your thoughtful help with scripture. I guess my question has something to do with the rapture. In 1 Thessalonians 3: 13 Paul is asking the LORD to increase the Thessalonian believers love so that HE may establish their hearts blameless in holiness before the FATHER at the coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST with all HIS saints. It sounds to me as though Paul wants them to be ready for the comming of JESUS with all HIS saints rather being one of the arriving saints.
Doesn’t JESUS return for all HIS saints well before HE returns with all HIS saints? Im kind of a cement head and I guess I need you to make this clear. Why are they still here at what sounds like the second comming? If they are already with HIM than its a bit late to establish your hearts. Shouldn’t you be about as established as you can get at that point?
A Second Work Of Grace
Published: November 14, 2009While visiting a local church, we were introduced to the idea of “a 2nd work of grace”. We were told that you can obtain perfection through sanctification while still on earth, at which point you no longer sin. Instead, you only make mistakes. In addition, you can lose your salvation before you are perfect but, you can also be saved again. This goes against everything we have ever studied and we just don’t buy it. We would appreciate your comments.
Evening And Morning, Follow Up
Published: November 13, 2009I read your article today entitled “And There Was Evening And There Was Morning”. I found the article very interesting. But I have a few points to discuss with you. Genesis 1:3-5 says, “And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning–the first day.” I find myself a little confused here, God made the sun and moon on the fourth day, so where is the day and night, and morning and evening coming from on the first three days. Then I thought, well maybe a day to God, before the sun was put in place could possible be a ten thousand years or so. So maybe then the scientist’s time periods could be true. What are your views on this?
Old Earth Young Civilization
Published: November 13, 2009I read your article “And There Was Evening And There Was Morning”, where you say you are OK with an old earth. How is this possible? In Exodus 20:11 and Exodus 31:17 the word of God is very plain that God created the earth and sea and heaven and everything in it, in six days and rested on the seventh day. Therefore if we have been here just over 6,000. years, then so has the earth. You and I believe that these six days were 24 hour days. God created the earth mature as He did Adam and Eve. The earth would look and everything would appear old, but was only created just over 6,000. years ago. So in essence we have a young earth.
