Concerning The Trinity

Published: November 22, 2009
Q

Concerning the trinity. When I read most of the verses that people use to “prove” the trinity, I do not see the same thing. When Jesus says ” if you’ve seen the son you’ve seen the Father”; and “the Father and I are one”; I always took that as meaning that they are very similar. Kind of like when someone says that your son is a chip off the old block. Could those verses like in John ch. 1 have been mistakenly copied or corrupted on purpose? I read a book about how other societies had their version of the trinity before Christ was even born. I want to say that I’m not taking anything away from Jesus and what he did for us. I truly believe he is God’s son and that he died for my sins and rose from the dead. He is my savior! It’s just that if the trinity is so hard to understand, maybe it’s because we’re trying to read it into the scriptures.

Where Are The Dead Unbelievers?

Published: November 21, 2009
Q

I am currently listening to your mp3 recordings on Revelation, I am confused on the location of unbelievers, who have already died. Have they already been judged and in torment? Or are they in a sleep state and will rise up at the end of the tribulation and face judgment. In other words from Adam to yesterday where are the people who did not believe in Jesus/God, who have died.

Where Will The Next Temple Be?

Published: November 21, 2009
Q

Thank you so much for being willing to answer questions; your Biblical knowledge and insight are very helpful. I have read various authors discuss the Dome of the Rock and the coming Temple having to be built on the same location and others disputing that by saying the temple described in Ezekiel as being further north and not necessarily involving the Dome of the Rock. Which do you see has the most Biblical support?

Q

Just when I think I have finally understood and accepted OSAS, someone comes along and throws me a curve ball and steals my joy. Please help me understand 2 Peter 3:17, as that is the most recent curve ball thrown at me!!!

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. –2 Peter 3:17

More Millennium Questions

Published: November 20, 2009
Q

I’ve heard prophecy teachers forever talk about the time gap between pre-filled and fulfilled prophetic events, and this looks like another example of it. I am confused, however, about your timing for the fulfillment of the New Jerusalem being at the beginning of the Millennium instead of the end especially since the Old Testament scriptures say the Lord will rule from Jerusalem.

Killing The Children Of Unmarried Couples?

Published: November 20, 2009
Q

A friend of a friend of mine sent her 5 year old to a sunday school. He came home in tears, because they were teaching on ” God killing the children of couples that were not married. I have never heard of such a thing. Is it true? The mother believes that it is somewhere in the old Testement. I do believe that the Lord wants these two people married, but, will he kill the children? Can you help me find this in the Holy Bible?

Will I Be Able To Raise My Children?

Published: November 19, 2009
Q

I am a mother of 3 young children. I suffered through infertility for years before God blessed me with them. I love being their mother and look forward to watching them grow up at the same time I see that we are living in the end times and we will be raptured soon. My question is when we live in the millennium will I (we) be as we are now? Will I be able to raise them and be their mother there only in a wonderful world ruled by God? Just something I wonder about.

Jesus. God, Man Or Both?

Published: November 19, 2009
Q

I am hoping that you can clear up your answer to me on 11/4 where you state “… that in some way we don’t understand He gave up His God-like powers when He came to Earth and became fully (and only) man.” However, in one of your earlier answers you state “Spirit led study will bring one to the conclusion that Jesus is God, and Hebrews 1:8 the Father is quoted as calling Jesus God, and the fact that Jesus is God in the flesh is well documented.”

Please forgive me if I seem somewhat confused, but it seems to me that in your answer to me you say that Jesus was only a man and not God in the flesh, but in the other answers you cite Jesus as being God as well as Man in His human form. Of course, Jesus was fully God and Man, that is why I cannot understand your first quote above.

Comparing The Lines Of Seth And Cain

Published: November 18, 2009
Q

In Genesis 5 it talks about “When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah……When Methuselah had lived 187 years he became the father of Lamech.” Back in Genesis 4 it says “To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Mathushael was the father from Lamech.” Somewhere I read that their were two Enochs, one from Seth and one from Cain, therefore leading to two sons from them who had similiar names (Methushael and Methuselah) who then had sons the named the same name (Lamech). Could you please explain the story behind this?

The Books Of Moses And The Hebrew Calendar

Published: November 18, 2009
Q

I have been told that the ancient Rabbis call the first 4 books of the Bible the Song of Moses. They also believed that the verses in this group of books could be numbered for the years of life on earth. Each verse says something about what is going on on earth in that co-responding earth year. I also understand that there are some verses that we have in our Bible that the Jewish Bible does not have; so we have to take that into consideration. All this is very confusing and kind of far fetched. What are your thoughts on this?
