A 120 Year Generation?

Published: January 24, 2010
Q

I thought I’d add something to consider regarding a generation. I have looked at 70 years as the date of a generation. Also 40 years etc… The Bible tells us that no man shall live more than 120 years (after the period of the flood) and in fact that is the age of Moses when God took him. So in my estimation the very last date would be 1948 + 120 years or at the extreme latest 1967 + 120 years. Your thoughts?

Don’t Take Our Children

Published: January 23, 2010
Q

I’ve been freaked out by reports from Europe of the government taking children away from Christian parents for one ridiculous reason or another. I have done what I can to help these people –written letters to the governments involved, spread the word to friends, signed petitions– but I have begun to be afraid that such a thing could happen in the US. This kind of thing is really a parent’s worst nightmare. Is there a Scripture I can use to claim protection over my children in a situation like this?

Germany And The End Times

Published: January 22, 2010
Q

I have a roommate who was born and raised in Poland. The Polish people still talk about WWII and relive it as if it were still ongoing. My roommate believes the German’s are in a position to try and take over Europe and eventually the world. I try and point out to him that the Bible doesn’t seem to give Germany that role. From your expert opinion, what is the future of Germany? Are they the ruling power over the European Union or are they just another country that makes up the whole?

Should We Invest In The Market?

Published: January 21, 2010
Q

Today my question is whether as Christians we can invest in the stock market, if done in manner that is systematic and careful. My husband wants to ‘trade’ according to Matthew 25 and Luke (for the 10 minas). Is the Stock Market an object of God’s wrath? This will be our part-time business to raise capital. We are concerned this is idolatory or adultery with the world.

A Covenant Between God And The USA?

Published: January 21, 2010
Q

In a recent article a Christian author and activist made this appeal on the internet to God’s remnant “If you want to be a part of something to stop the free fall we’re in as a nation, I need to hear from you soon” (regarding her prayer to beseech God to rescue our nation). This person said “I believe it will touch the heart of God and maybe, just maybe, cause Him to take note of our distress, hear our cry, remember His covenant with our nation and, out of His great love, relent from the judgment we deserve.” What covenant could this person be referring to? Do you know of a covenant God made with our nation?

Osama The Anti-Christ?

Published: January 20, 2010
Q

I’ve been doing a lot of reading about the rapture and the end times. I read that after the Church is taken home that one religion will be pushed and it will most likely be Islam. So I was wondering what you thought about Osama Bin Laden being the anti-Christ?

More On Matt. 24:34

Published: January 18, 2010
Q

I have one question. Some translations of the scripture states that “SOME of the people of this generation will still be alive when all these things happen”. Since He says “some”, could that be an indication that, rather than 70 years (a normal life span) it might be 80-100 years? Because, if you think about it, we hear about 100 year old people all the time. So “some” of this generation would still be alive. Are there any other scriptures that would limit the period to 70 years?

More On Psalm 110

Published: January 17, 2010
Q

I just watched (a well known author’s) program talking about Psalm 110. Are you familiar with his Prophecy in the Psalms ideas? He gives a strong feeling about reading Psalm 110 as prophecy concerning the rapture. I re-read your last two articles concerning 2010 and you didn”t mention Psalm 110 in either one. Do you have any thoughts about Psalm 110 being prophetic?

Dinosaurs In The Book Of Job?

Published: January 16, 2010
Q

I’ve been on the net studying dinosaurs in the bible and it appears that the “Kronosaurus” (leviathan) is talked about in Job 41, Isiah 27:1, and Psalm 104:25,26 and the “Brachiosaurus” (behmoth) is talked about in Job 40:15-24. If these animals are dinosaurs, how could they have escaped the flood? What are your thoughts on this?

Is Global Warming In The Bible?

Published: January 14, 2010
Q

I just had a big debate about global warming. I understand that global warming is not man-made like the liberal/ democrats are trying to impose on the American public. What sound evidence do Christians have to clarify this fact?
