Reformed Theology, Follow Up
Published: April 10, 2010I was just reading an answer you gave on Reformed Theology. In part of your answer, you said, “Reformed theology teaches that God’s covenant with man has been transferred from Israel to the Church.” What concerned me about this was that you did not say – And this is not true. My question to you is, what are your thoughts on this issue?
Was It Really Him?
Published: April 8, 2010I know we are not to contact the dead, and I do not seek to do so. Two hours after my husband died, however, I felt that his spirit walked through my body. That is, his spirit approached me from behind, briefly was “in” my body, making me feel that he was now healthy and walking, and then walked onward swiftly. It lasted only seconds. I did not ask for this contact. But I believe it happened. Is this permitted by God? If this is not permitted, I am troubled, because I believe it happened.
Jewish Calendar
Published: April 7, 2010On the Jewish calendar, do all months of the year have the same amount of days, therefore making the first of the month fall on the same day of the week every month?
What Happened To The Lord’s Body?
Published: April 6, 2010If God does not resurrect our original bodies, what happened to Jesus’ original body during his resurrection? I could never figure that one out.
Israel And Nuclear Energy
Published: April 2, 2010I was reading an article on the Bible Prophecy Today website titled, “Israel Considers Nuclear Power.” And as I’m reading, it pops in my head that during the Battle of Ezekiel 38-39 the Lord specifically says the people of Israel will use the weapons of the Horde that will be coming against them and burn them into fuel and for 7 years the energy needs of Israel will be met. Israel has been looking into ways to produce more electricity to meet the country’s growing energy need. Now they use coal, but its not efficient enough. I really think this shows just how in control God is that he not only is going to destroy Israel enemies but at the same time meet this need! What do you think? Am I reaching to much?
I Will Bless Those Who Bless You, Follow Up
Published: April 1, 2010I just read your article “I Will Bless Those Who Bless You.” I have always been fascinated by the swift punishment from the Lord after harsh dealings with Israel. Given the shoddy treatment of Netanyahu this week, should we expect another physical blow to our country? Or was the passage of the health care bill enough? That law will do more economic damage to our country than all of the previous natural disasters combined. Do you see US-Israel relations healing at all in the near future or are we at that point where we have cast them aside and Israel truly is alone in this world?
What About Jews Who Died in The Holocaust?
Published: April 1, 2010I’m wondering if Jewish people were saved with Jesus through their Holocaust by the Nazis in 1930’s to 1945?” I know that God had a plan for Jews who were holocaust by Nazi before Israel was reborn on may 15, 1948! I hope so because the Jews are the children of God and the Bible shows that is fulfilled with the re-birth of Israel on May 15, 1948!
More On The Parable Of The Mustard Seed
Published: March 31, 2010I’ve read many postings on your site and appreciate them greatly. But I’m surprised at your interpretation of the Mustard Seed Parable. There are different “birds” mentioned in the various passages of the Bible; the little birds is akin to sparrows–you will find that God uses the sparrows to indicate His care for us both in the NT and in Psalms. David writes of them finding “rest” in the courts of the temple–as he refers to the godly finding rest in the Lords Temple. I’m surprised that this common interpretation is quickly accepted, without folks discriminating between the various types of birds: little birds and predators.
They Should Have Confessed
Published: March 30, 2010My question centers around the “original” sin as well as Cain and Abel. Was the sin in each of these circumstances the obvious ones, ie; Adam/Eve eating the apple, Cain murdering Abel? Or the more subtle one, God knew what they had done in both instances and gave them an opportunity to admit it and they instead denied their guilt. When confronted by God Adam immediately blamed Eve, and when God asked Cain where is your brother, what have you done?, Cain replied “I am not my brother’s keeper”. Was it the sin or the denial that got them into trouble with God?
Son Of God
Published: March 29, 2010Since Jesus is God, why does God refer to Him as His Son? Even though I believe that They are one, I’ve never really understood the fact that They are one, yet separate, that Jesus was born as a man but also existed WITH the Father before the creation of the earth. I just wish that it would click in my mind so that I could truly understand. I’m afraid that if a nonbeliever were to ask me about these things, I wouldn’t really know how to answer them. How can I try to convince someone of something that I myself don’t really understand? I pray that God will clarify this for me through your answer.
