Where Is Paradise?

Published: April 23, 2011
Q

Recently my sister went to be with the Lord after a long battle with Brain Cancer. My family are true believers of God and worship Him as our Personal Savior. After dinner one evening, my sister’s children asked if their mom was in heaven and my fiance said that she was in a place called “Paradise.” He said that is where you go before you go to heaven. I’ve never heard of this. Can you please offer some answers that I can share with them?

Sons Of The Kingdom

Published: April 21, 2011
Q

I have a question about Matthew 8:5-13…verses 11-12 specifically. Before Jesus heals the servant, why does He say “I tell you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth”? Why will the sons of the kingdom be thrown out?

Pre-Trib Or Post-Trib?

Published: April 21, 2011
Q

In the last few months I have come across individuals in my personal life, as well as ministers on the internet and television, who not only stand for Post-Tribulation, but speak and preach as though it is Satanic, evil, and wrong to believe in Pre-Tribulation rapture. What is satanic about it? I believe God takes care of His own and that we are not objects of God’s wrath.

Can I Be Baptized Again?

Published: April 20, 2011
Q

I once heard you must be baptized by immersion in water. As an infant, I was baptized Catholic. And I’ve also heard you cannot be baptized twice. Can you be born again without a baptism at the time you asked God for forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and through faith accept Jesus Christ as your Savior?

The Persecution Of Christians

Published: April 20, 2011
Q

Have you heard of people using some letter supposedly written by Corrie Ten Boom to try and prove that the church will go through the tribulation? Why would people use Corrie Ten Boom as evidence that the church is supposed to go through the trib? Why wouldn’t they use just scripture? The letter claims that Christians in China were told they’d be raptured but were then persecuted by Mao; therefore the American church needs to be ready for persecution in the tribulation.

Amos 3:7 And The Rapture

Published: April 20, 2011
Q

In a recent answer you quoted Amos 3:7, “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” The question that came to mind is- does the principle in Amos 3:7 apply to warnings from the Lord, by means of his servants, that the rapture is very near or am I taking this verse out of context? Thank you for taking so much time to answer our questions.

More On Isaiah 17 And Damascus

Q

Are born again Christians going to be here to witness the destruction of Damascus foretold in Isaiah 17 or will the rapture take place first?

Israel And The Church

Published: April 18, 2011
Q

I have a co worker who is a Christian but we differ on our position on the church. I believe the church has a distinct role and purpose that is different from Israel. She believes we are grafted into being a part of Israel. She believes grace has always abounded and does not believe we are in the age of grace as the church. She also doesn’t believe in any difference in the church vs Israel since we are all one under God. She also observes all the Jewish holidays and believes they point to Christ as Messiah and these are the only holidays we are to keep. Is this the correct way?

Is The Royal Wedding A Sign Of The End?

Published: April 16, 2011
Q

I was traveling recently and in the airport, I noticed a headline on the upcoming Royal Wedding. It has stuck in my brain because of Matthew 24:36 and following. I’m wondering what your thoughts are on this. If we are supposed to be actively looking for the signs of the end, and His return which are very near, wouldn’t this GRAND wedding be something that would fit the context of that verse?

There Was Evening And There Was Morning

Published: April 16, 2011
Q

I am struggling to understand how the days are counted. God created light out of the darkness, that would be day. Then He said there was evening and morning one day. Just an evening and a morning is not a day, it is half a day. I can not understand how this was figured out. Your help would be most appreciated.
