I read in the news today that “On May 15, to commemorate the Palestinian exodus day 1948 ( Nakba) when well over 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled out of their home land by Israel, thousands of angry Arab protesters from Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon along with their Palestinian brothers from Gaza and the occupied west bank will advance toward Israel in what they call the third intifada.”

Do you think this could have anything to do with Psalms 83 or Isaiah 17? And if so, then we could very well see this prophecies come to pass in the matter of days.

What is the true Christian (born again) view of the Chi Rho symbol? As an ex-Catholic, I’m uncomfortable with any symbol remotely associated with the Catholic Church. I teach Sunday School at a Southern Baptist Church and walked into our Sunday School Building to see this symbol painted on the wall along with other Christian symbols designed to invoke a “Christian” atmosphere. I didn’t like it and was told it’s an early Christian symbol of Christ. When I researched it, I discovered it was actually based upon a design by Constantine when he saw a vision in the sky the day before a battle. What is your take on this?

My wife and I were trying to sort out this question. We know the Jews are God’s chosen people. It does not escape us however that they continue to reject Jesus as Messiah. To summarize our conversation: one of us said not all Jews will be in Heaven because not all will accept Jesus as Messiah. The other said, Jesus is coming back and all Jews will accept Him as Messiah because the Jews are God’s Chosen people and He will save His chosen people.

I find it difficult to find the age of accountability explained in Romans 7:9. Are there other verses that might be a little clearer?

What has caused so much hatred for Israel? Why do so many countries want to attack and destroy her? It seems that this has been the case for many, many years and I just wonder when it all started.

My husband is a Christian but yet he is constantly bad-mouthing me to his friends and letting his friends call me some pretty terrible names. A friend of mine and I are debating 1 Cor 13:8 and the cessation of tongues. I have been reading several of your Q and A pages and find them helpful. Could you give us your interpretation of the cessation of tongues? Has tongues ceased? If so, how is it explained of those that are very devout still using tongues, even pastors.

My question is under what circumstances will a believer hear the words from our Lord, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant?” Is this a statement made to all believers or only some based on how well they lived the christian life? I am interested in you thoughts on this.
