During the Great Tribulation, if a believer and/or his loved ones are tormented (in whatever broadest sense) to the point he denies Christ, will he lose his Salvation?

I just read one of your replies to a questioner as to whether the Bible mandates church attendance. How does your reply to this question fit in with Hebrews 10:25?

John 17 and Calvinism

Published: September 21, 2011
Q

In a discussion on Calvinism someone asked me about John 17:9, where Jesus tells His Father, “I do not pray for the world, but for those who You have given me.” This person used it in support of the view that some are born to be saved while others are not. Why did Jesus say that?

Are We Out Of Time?

Q

I had a question about the Feast of Trumpets and it’s relation to the Rapture. I agree that the Rapture cannot fulfill Rev. 12. My question is: since the Second Coming would be likely to occur on the Feast of Trumpets and if you’re correct in your theory that all prophecy will be fulfilled by 2018, and we know that Daniel’s 70th week is 7 years long, should we not be looking for the Rapture to occur at or very near the Feast of Trumpets in 2011? That would be next week. I know I’m always looking for the Lord’s return, but the calendar math won’t add up if the Rapture takes place in, say, December. That is, if the Second Coming is to occur by the Feast of Trumpets in 2018.

Q

You’ve said many times, and I believe you, that people saved during the Tribulation will be responsible for keeping their faith intact during the Tribulation. What exactly does that mean? I am saved but still sin, even though I don’t want to. Some of my sins include anger and sometimes cursing in that anger, but I always, ALWAYS ask God to forgive me because I am truly sorry afterward. If a Trib survivor has anger with maybe cursing included, will he have lost his Faith? Is his faith the same as my Faith? Do you mean that he can sin no more, ever? Wouldn’t that be impossible?

Why The Secrecy?

Published: September 19, 2011
Q

I’ve always wondered why Christ was so emphatic to His disciples that they “keep things quiet” and NOT reveal His Divinity to the masses. On many occasions, he instructed them not to reveal what they saw or heard. What do you think was the reason for this secrecy??

Was Adam Created On Day 6 Or Day 7?

Q

Could you please explain what you know both scripturally and any personal revelation that you may have regarding the creation of man on the sixth day in Genesis 1:26-28 and the forming of Adam on the seventh day in Genesis 2:7?

OSAS And Luke 21

Published: September 17, 2011
Q

How does Luke 21:34-36 stack up against OSAS? “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

Saved During The Millennium

Published: September 17, 2011
Q

We know from Isaiah 65:20 in a chapter discussing the Millenium, that there will be death during that time. In Rev 20 however there only seems to be a resurrection of unbelievers. My question therefore is – when are the believing dead raised from the Millennium? Do all believers survive the entire 1,000 years, or are there some Millennial believers who die but are raised at the second resurrection in Rev 20 and are the ones whose names are written in the book of life?
