Staying Behind?

Published: March 11, 2012
Q

There are those of us faithful who although we accept Our Lord as Our Savior, expect to be left on Earth to to fight the Anti-Christ and his forces post Rapture. We actually picture ourselves as God’s faithful, willing to sacrifice ourselves for God. Don’t laugh, I know it sounds egotistical and somewhat like a contradiction.

It seems if we do, we’ll be damned for all time. If that’s true, why do we bother even worrying about anyone left? What good is a Thousand Years of Peace if no Faithful are even left to do God’s Work? Am I just missing something?

More On The “Great Revival”

Published: March 10, 2012
Q

My pastor, whom I love, keeps talking about the great revival that is coming quoting a famous prophet. He says we will empty the hospitals and “the sower and the reaper will be in the field together.” What is the interpretation of that verse and its application.

In The Twinkling Of An Eye

Published: March 9, 2012
Q

Sir, I have had a lot of trouble buying the split second vanishing of all the saints at the time of the rapture. To me 1 Corinthians 15;51-54 speaks mainly of our corruptible putting on in-corruption, ” but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.” That seems to me to be separate from 1 Thessalonians 4;15-17 ,” and the dead will rise first. then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them” with no mention of how fast it will happen. It seems that GOD would make full use of the rapture to make believers of many who had been sitting on the fence. I can only imagine the impact of watching your dead godly grandmother suddenly appear young and healthy and then rise into the heavens followed by those who are alive and changed. I don’t believe GOD wastes any opportunity to draw His children to Him and He won’t let this chance slip away with a sudden head scratching disappearance of people right before your eyes. I have great respect for your biblical insight and would like to know your thoughts on this.

Determining The Number Of The Church

Q

You say that the Rapture is a number specific event. By that, do you mean that when Jesus was crucified, God set a specific number of people to be allowed into the church?

How Can 2000 Years Be Shortly?

Published: March 8, 2012
Q

“In the KJV Rev. 1:1 reads: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John.”

Unbelievers have used this term “must shortly come to pass” in Revelation 1 to show that since all the prophecy in the book did NOT come about “shortly” after it was written that it cannot be true. They claim that more than 2000 years is far beyond any acceptable interpretation of “must shortly come to pass.” Are there any clues in the ancient script or other theories as to why things that “must shortly come to pass” have been delayed for over two millennia?

What About Those Who Don’t Know?

Q

What about those who have no knowledge of scriptures that are around when the mark of the beast becomes necessary for commerce?? It may be presented in a way that seems harmless, how will they be saved?

Some Revelation Questions

Published: March 7, 2012
Q

As I read through Revelation a few questions come into my mind. I’ll just list them:

When John describes the army of 200 million, why must they be representative of a human army (The Chinese as many believe)? The description sounds like it should be taken literally since I do not see any hints pointing toward another description.

Also, when John describes a dragon and woman, I understand these are symbolic of the Devil and Israel. But my question is, when John was writing Revelation, what do you think HE saw? Did he actually see a dragon or did he really see the devil being thrown out of heaven and happened to describe him as a dragon?

Lastly, on a similar note, when John writes of the beast, how do we know that this is the Anti-christ being described here? What if this is indeed some sort of super natural monster that plagues the world during the end times? When John saw what he describes as “the beast” do you believe it actually looked like a beast to John or did he see the person of the anti-Christ and describes him as a beast because of the way he acts?

The Dead In Christ Shall Rise First

Published: March 7, 2012
Q

To my highly valued workman of God’s Word, do you have any insight on a point of curiosity on the rapture? Paul makes it perfectly clear that the rapture will happen in the twinkling of an eye. Yet, he also clearly indicates that the dead in Christ will rise first, followed by those still alive. Since no human could distinguish “first” then “second” if it all happens in a “twinkling,” is there another layer of understanding to being told that the dead shall go before the living?

Hard Times Coming?

Published: March 6, 2012
Q

A lot of “rapture” websites and a number of seemingly knowledgeable people are predicting we will have a very rough time of it before the rapture takes place. Famines, severe money and banking problems, stuff like that. They are warning that we had better prepare and get ready because it’s about to fall on us.

My question is what will our state of affairs be like during this time? In my opinion the Bible indicates that stuff will be or at least perceived to be quite “normal” then we will be raptured. Others are saying to head for the hills and find a cave. What do you think?

What Happens To A Gentile / Jewish Couple?

Published: March 5, 2012
Q

I have a question about having a Jewish spouse. What happens after the rapture to a gentile/Jewish couple? I know they are no longer married but do they ever get to see each other again do you think? What about children that are half gentile half Jewish. Is where they go depend on their beliefs and age at that time? What do you think about the Jewish parent seeing their children if in fact they are in the New Jerusalem? Do all Jewish people have to reside separately on earth at that time?
