Judging America
Published: June 4, 2012“If God does not judge America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” I’ve heard this attributed to one of the Grahams. But God is not mad at mankind during the Church age, right? The angels told the shepherds this at Jesus birth. Also, I agree with you on the author’s misuse of 2 Ch. 7:14 but was he correct on the judgment issue with 9-11?
Shouldn’t We Pray For Them?
Published: June 4, 2012I was rather taken by aback by the aggressive stance you took in your latest article concerning 2 Chronicles 7:14. You seem to suggest believers should not be praying for those who are misrepresenting the gospel yet leading churches, and for unsaved govt leaders who are taking the nation further down the wrong path. May I ask, when did the Lord tell you to stop praying for those in this nation?
I Will Pour Out My Spirit
Published: June 4, 2012I was curious about Joel 2: 28-29. “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” Are the people in verse 28 only the church? And who are the servants in verse 29?
Christians Being Persecuted
Published: June 3, 2012Years ago as a new believer I had a series of dreams about the end times. In one I was living in some sort of camp where men and women were separated, and another where we were being hunted down in destroyed homes to be killed. There is hostility at every turn in our country and I’ve been wondering if you think we could find ourselves as Christians placed in camps and hunted down like this, or do you think it could have been dreams of the tribulation?
Lake Of Fire. The Spiritual Death
Published: May 31, 2012In the ‘Born Again before they Die’ answer, you responded once children intellectually mature enough to understand the consequences of sin, the commandments apply to them. At that point they die spiritually and have to be born again to be saved. What did you mean by spiritually dying? Isn’t spiritual death another term for lake of fire?
More On Translation Differences
Published: May 31, 2012In my KJV, I was reading Isaiah 61 verses 1-2 and then read Luke 4:18-19 where Jesus is in the synagogue reading those same two verses in Isaiah. Of course the two passages say the same thing but I would expect the wording to be exactly the same. Since it’s not, what would account for the differences?
Will God Destroy Smokers? Follow Up
Published: May 28, 2012Re: Will God Destroy Smokers. Are you saying that if a born again believer dies due to lung cancer caused by smoking, he will be included in the rapture as it has been written that the dead in Christ will rise first at the time of rapture? Will it be the same with those people who claimed to be born again dying because of being a drug addict? Will they be included in the rapture? How can those people who claimed to be truly born again believers still be included in the rapture despite the fact that the cause of their death are their vices, such as smoking, etc? Might they be continuing their vices because they are being encouraged by your view, even if they don’t quit? Please give a clearer explanation about the matter.
Did They See God?
Published: May 27, 2012Quoting you: “The writer of Hebrews confirmed this in chapter 1, agreeing that when God wants to be visible, He appears as Jesus.” Here you’ve reminded me of a recent thought I had and would like to hear your opinion. In the old testament, prophets had visions of God sitting on His throne (e.g. Isaiah). Would this have actually been Jesus sitting on the throne in a recognizable bodily form; as we’re taught by Jesus that ‘God is a spirit’ and I presume that He hasn’t got ‘human form’?
Still More On The Bride
Published: May 27, 2012In one of your most recent articles on the bride of Christ, you note that the Church is the bride, as many do. The reference you use in Ephesians 5 doesn’t seem to clarify that the church is the bride. although many state that the church is the bride. As I read Revelation 21:2 and 21:9 and 10 it would seem clear that the Holy City New Jerusalem is The Bride. Are there other scriptures where it states the Church is the Bride in no uncertain terms?
New Jerusalem Or Heaven?
Published: May 27, 2012First I would like to thank you for Gracethrufaith. It has taught me a whole lot and thanks to it am growing more In Christ. May God continue to bless you. OK, here is my question, When the rapture takes place will we be in the New Jerusalem or will we be in Heaven?
