To Prepare Or Not To Prepare

Published: September 18, 2012
Q

This evening a friend of mine related what a pastor and his wife said to them over dinner. He told them that, as Christians, they need to start preparing for the worst as things are going to get real bad, real fast after the election. He said believers should store up food and hoard what they have, and pull all their money out of the bank and hide it. This is nothing less than frightening. How does he know this? Is he right–should we all be doing this?

The Coming Leader. Follow Up

Published: September 18, 2012
Q

In your article “The Coming Leader”, you specify that he will use Ezekiel 48 to show that the new temple doesn’t belong on the current temple mount. Can you clarify this, please? Is this true, or is it something the leader is going to “spin”? I read Ezekiel 48 and it just seems to talk about dividing up the land.

More On Baptism And Salvation

Published: September 17, 2012
Q

If some people believe that water baptism is required for salvation, does this mean that they are not saved since they aren’t depending fully on the Lord’s work on the cross for salvation? I ask this, because I have come across people that are putting water baptism into John chapter 3, which is just a misinterpretation. I know its impossible to say if a person is truly saved or not, but if they are claiming Jesus’ death plus water baptism, is there a reason to be concerned for these people?

Does The Bible Support Post Church Salvation?

Published: September 17, 2012
Q

I recently watched a televangelist interview several other evangelists on the subject of salvation following the rapture (all were pre-trib) and I think 5 out of 6 said they did not think scripture supported the idea. The subject of those serving Him in His temple day and night didn’t come up, nor the mention in Revelation of those that were slain for not taking the mark arriving in heaven. What alternate interpretations of these verses could possibly support their views that no one will be saved during the tribulation?

Why Is The Church Special?

Published: September 17, 2012
Q

Why is the Church special? We are the only group that is securely saved. The old testament believers, tribulation believers, and millennial believers will all have to provide evidence of their faith to remain saved. Why are only we so blessed?

Is A Counterfeit Mark OK?

Published: September 16, 2012
Q

Do you think tribulation believers might be able to counterfeit “The Mark” for survival? I’m sure it will have some sort of electronic fields associated with it, but from a distance the anti-Christ police would never know the difference. Believers would still not be able to buy and sell, but it could afford them some protection. And since they would not be putting it on to indicate their loyalty to and worship of the anti-Christ, do you think this may be possible?

Does The Lord Owe Us 10 Days?

Published: September 16, 2012
Q

Acts 1:3 clearly says Jesus appeared for 40 days after the resurrection. Recently we heard a teacher say it means Pentecost is the only unfulfilled feast & God somehow “owes” us 10 days ( as Pentecost means 50). Then he said that Jesus will appear for 10 days prior to the rapture to fulfill this feast. This we do not agree with, but where does the 50 in Pentecost come from if Jesus only appeared for 40 days?

Questions About Nations

Published: September 16, 2012
Q

In the Bible when it talks about all the nations of the earth will turn against Israel, is that the nations known at the time or literally every nation. If literal what does the Lord mean when He says He will separate the Sheep from the goats, which seems to be a reference to nations.

The Seven Year Agreement

Q

I am wondering if the Seven Year Peace Agreement “requires” Israel to agree to it or could it be enacted unilaterally by UN decree? In other words a figurative “gun” to Israel’s head.

More On Living In New Jerusalem, Reigning on Earth

Published: September 14, 2012
Q

The home of the church is as quite rightly as you have said destined to be the new Jerusalem. What I cannot fathom is this passage ” “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” Who is this group that reigns on the earth if we are bound for the New Jerusalem?
