Is Alcohol A Sin?
Published: February 4, 2013I was brought up to believe that there are two kinds of wine in the Bible. One that is alcoholic and one that is not. Talking to a friend recently, he believes that drinking wine is not a sin if you’re not using it to get drunk. So the question is: Is alcohol a sin? Could you provide me with verses that tell us that there are 2 different forms of wine in the Bible?
Moses On The Mountain Of God
Published: February 3, 2013In Exodus 24:9-18 (KJV) Moses, Aaron, Nadab, & Abihu & 70 elders went up (v10) and they saw the God of Israel; (v11) also they saw God, and did eat & drink. Was God holding back His glory so as not to hurt these leaders?
The Fullness Of The Gentiles
Published: February 3, 2013For a while now I’ve been pondering “the fullness of the Gentiles”. You have spoken on the differences between believers (the Body of Christ/the Church) as distinct from Jewish people and Gentile people who trust in Christ during the Tribulation. Since there will still be those two groups of people during this time, why do the Gentiles not figure into “the fullness” right through the Tribulation? Would not those Gentiles be counted as well in that “fullness”? And, the Rapture would then have nothing to do with this count?
Solomon’s Downfall
Published: February 3, 2013This isn’t a smart alec question, just something I wonder about. If Solomon was so wise, why did he end up following false idols?
Egypt And Assyria
Published: February 2, 2013In Isaiah 19:23-25 it talks of Egypt, Assyria, and Israel worshiping together. In Isaiah 19:25, God says “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.” I understand Israel being God’s inheritance, but what about Egypt and Assyria? I am half Assyrian so I am very interested in what all this means.
Ariel Sharon And The Anti-Christ
Published: February 1, 2013I know you are careful about engaging in antichrist speculation but I am very curious as to how Ariel Sharon fairs as a possible candidate . This so called “Lion of God” has been in a coma after a massive stroke for 7 years and is now showing significant brain activity. What if he wakes up but with limited use of his right side?
Fasting For Diabetics
Published: February 1, 2013Re: Fasting For The Lord I have asked my doctor about fasting and was told that since I am diabetic it was not a good idea for me to do so. I want to fast to clear my mind of things however and I just don’t know how to do so. I have tried denying myself some things I enjoy but I guess that doesn’t seem the same as when I used to fast “for real” before I developed diabetes. Can you suggest anything to me that might help me?
Should Not Or Shall Not Perish?
Published: January 31, 2013My mother belongs to a church where they give lip service to salvation by Grace, but their deeds and doctrines suggest otherwise. During a discussion she mentioned that most people quote John 3:16 incorrectly, pointing out that “…whosoever believeth on Him should not perish.” is usually quoted “…shall not perish.” The KJV uses ‘should’, while the NIV uses ‘shall.’ She is implying the word ‘should’ leaves the possibility that we might still perish even if we believe on the Lord Jesus. Thus, the need to obey the commandments to prove/show we love the Lord.
Who Is The Assyrian?
Published: January 29, 2013I have read from another end times scholar who says the Assyrian from Isaiah 14:25-27 is the same person as the man of sin in 2 Thessalonians 2:4, and that this is the person that stands in the temple and causes the abomination of desolation. He further states that there will be three people in the end, the Assyrian, the Anti-Christ, and the False Prophet. I have never heard this before and was quite surprised by it as I don’t see this when I study this out. Can you explain it?
OSAS And John 15:1-6
Published: January 27, 2013My question is about John 15:1-6. In v.2 there are some who are connected to Jesus but if no fruit is a result they are taken away. Who are taken away because I believe OSAS? I understand abiding should be our response to the gift of life given to us, but what is meant in v6. If anyone does not abide in me he is cast out as a branch and is withered, and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. Who are the ones cast out and burned since in v.2 states they are apparently in Jesus?
