The Timing Of Ezekiel’s Battle

Published: May 30, 2013
Q

Ezekiel 39:7 states that in the aftermath of the Ez. 38-39 battle, God will no longer allow his name to be profaned. Does this not mean that the aftermath must by necessity be near the end of the Tribulation? After all, God’s name will be continuously profaned during the Tribulation.

A Contradiction Or Not?

Q

Genesis 6:6 says, “And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.” But in Numbers 23:19 it says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” I know and I believe in my heart that there isn’t any contradiction in the Word of God. But I would really appreciate any explanation on why there seems to be one here. The verbs in both verses are the same in Hebrew.

Mormons In The Rapture?

Published: May 28, 2013
Q

Re: Catholic Christians. Follow Up. We totally disagree with you on this issue dealing with Mormons in the Rapture. It is scary to stand up for Jesus when your family and friends think otherwise, but every Christian is called to do just that. The Lord made it clear that if we denied Him because we were on the spot, here on earth, He would deny us before His Father in Heaven. This is not a case of judging others, merely repeating what our Lord himself has said.

What’s Going On In Damascus? Follow Up

Published: May 28, 2013
Q

After studying the prophecy about the destruction of Damascus and the opinions of prophecy scholars, I am becoming more convinced that it was already fulfilled when Damascus was destroyed by the Assyrians in 732 BC. If this was indeed the case and I think history confirms it, and the fact that Damascus is a city at the present time, could scripture be referring to a temporary desolation like it happened to many nations when they were destroyed by invading armies?

Victorious Eschatology

Q

Could you explain what the term “Victorious Eschatology” means? Someone was telling me it concerns the rapture. I have never heard of this before, have you?

More On Ezekiel 38 And The Rapture

Published: May 27, 2013
Q

I find that I’m leaning toward a larger gap between the rapture and the beginning of the tribulation than is mentioned in most commentaries. I believe the Ezekiel war will occur post rapture when God has turned his attention back to Israel and begins again to show signs and wonders on their behalf. Since scripture is clear that Israel will burn the fuel from the remains of the Ezekiel war of 38-39, this requires a 7 year period of time. Scripture seems to indicate that they will be fleeing from the Anti-Christ at the mid-point of the tribulation, so the continuation of the burning would become impossible. This would seem to indicate that the Ezekiel conflict would need to happen 3.5 years prior to the beginning of the tribulation, at a minimum. What are your thoughts on this?

Modern Nephilim. Follow Up

Re: Modern Nephilim. Do you think Nephilim are walking the earth now? If so where and what makes you think so? I’m just not very well educated on the subject but would like to know more.

Is Opposition To Pre-Trib Heresy?

Published: May 27, 2013
Q

The dictionary definition of heresy is, “the holding of an unorthodox religious belief: the holding of, or adherence to, an opinion or belief that contradicts established religious teaching, especially one that is officially condemned by religious authorities”. Based on this, would viewpoints in opposition to the Pre-Trib Rapture be considered heresy?

Modern Nephilim

Published: May 26, 2013
Q

I have been reading your articles about Nephilim as part of my research for a series I am developing. I am aware of what they are but I was wondering if, according to your interpretation, it would be possible for a Nephilim not to be evil but use their superhuman/supernatural abilities to serve humanity? My plot line deals with the nephilim walking among us in the modern day world and I would like to keep their nature somewhat close to what scriptures dictate. Any information you could give would be very helpful.

Judging Teachers More Strictly. Follow Up

Q

Most of your answers to questions about judgement usually include the fact that believers will not be judged for their (our) shortcomings – because Jesus took our punishment at the cross. You didn’t mention that here. After looking at the question and the verse(s), I started wondering if James was speaking to unbelievers since they’ll be the people being judged?
