Don’t Take Our Children

Published: July 2, 2013
Q

I’ve been freaked out by reports from Europe of the government taking children away from Christian parents for one ridiculous reason or another. I have done what I can to help these people –written letters to the governments involved, spread the word to friends, signed petitions– but I have begun to be afraid that such a thing could happen in the US. This kind of thing is really a parent’s worst nightmare. Is there a Scripture I can use to claim protection over my children in a situation like this?

Is This Considered Incest?

My granddaughter has a boyfriend and her mother (my daughter) is dating the boyfriend’s father. Is this considered incest? Or is it incest only if they are related by blood?

Can We Say No?

Published: July 2, 2013
Q

My husband and I inherited his parents’ home which we have prepared as a vacation get-away, for family and friends to use at no cost. Recently, we had a request for a husband and wife, and their brother-in-law and his fiancee, to use the place. The unmarried couple lives together – all are in their 20s. We declined, saying we preferred that the unmarried not stay there in the same room. We feel this is a stewardship issue and that before the Lord we need to take this little stand despite the current state of our culture. We have never let unmarried people sleep together in our home, either, providing separate accommodations for them. Do you have any thoughts in this matter?

What Is The Mark Of Cain?

Published: June 26, 2013
Q

God bless you and your family. I cannot thank The Lord enough for you and your ministry and service to the Lord and His people. May He increase His grace and blessings to you. Having said this, what can you tell me about the mark of Cain?

Ishmaelites Or Midianites?

Published: June 25, 2013
Q

I was studying Genesis chapter 37 and observed that Joseph’s brothers sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites (verse 26 and the end of verse 28). But there is a mention of Midianite merchants at the beginning of verse 28 and finally it seems like the Midianites are the ones selling Joseph in verse 36. I am a little confused, was Joseph sold to the Ishmaelites then sold again to the Midianites who then sold Joseph to Potiphar?

Could Judas Be In Heaven?

Published: June 24, 2013
Q

I have a question that I hope you can help me with. It concerns Matthew 27 :3-4.

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? see thou to that.”

Judas admitted he sinned and repented. Is there a chance he may be saved and in heaven?

Should I Find Another Place Of Worship?

Published: June 23, 2013
Q

I joined a new church with great enthusiasm and joy. Beautiful people and a great pastor. However, I am watching the ministry slide into a Calvinistic & Reformed view, which I can not grasp – I am confused and in constant prayer asking God to to guide me. My question is this – do I stay in this church when I just do not believe their views?

Rapture Before Anti-Christ?

Published: June 21, 2013
Q

Since I teach an adult Sunday School class, I am very diligent about accuracy. Here’s my question. In 2nd Thessalonians 2:3, Paul answers a very deep concern of the believers there. When he states that the Day of the Lord will not come “unless the apostasy comes first and the man of sin is revealed” is Paul implying that they would see the man of sin or will they (we) be taken in the Rapture beforehand? My observations are that apostasy is now rampant and easily observed. Why is it not reasonable that will we also see the anti-Christ identified before the Rapture?

Communicating With The Deceased

Published: June 21, 2013
Q

We lost our 19 year old daughter 3 and 1/2 years ago. I joined an internet group of grieving mothers, mostly Christian women. A lot of them talk about receiving “signs” from their child. Is this Biblical? I can’t say that I have ever had a sign, although I do dream about her. I am troubled that if it is possible to receive signs, why am I not receiving any?

Two Groups Of Tribulation Believers

Published: June 20, 2013
Q

In Revelation 7:13-15 there is a Group of Believers who “came out of the Great Tribulation” who SERVE God. In Revelation 20:4-6 there are those who are beheaded for Christ, therefore, they reign with Christ. What is the difference between the 2 Groups of Believers?

Could it be that the 1st Group are the Christians who missed the Rapture by “living in sin” at the time of the Rapture? and that the 2nd Group are new converts who were faithful to Christ?
