Once Saved Always Saved?

Published: October 14, 2013
Q

If one has professed of being born again but in time has gone back to the ways of the world (one’s sinful deeds), continues on in such behavior even when one knows that it is wrong, never asks forgiveness and then passes away before repenting. Where would one go? Will the person be accepted in the Kingdom of GOD, but have a minor role in GOD’s Kingdom? Or will the person be identified as one who never really accepted CHRIST as ones’ Personal SAVIOR and thus be delegated one’s portion with the wicked? I hope I made sense in my question and hope by GOD’s favor you will be able to enlighten me.

All In The Family

Q

I have heard all my life that Jesus (God and the Holy Spirit for that matter), wants to have a personal relationship with us. What exactly does that mean, both now and in eternity? I think I understand somewhat the idea of what kind of personal relationship He wants with us in the here and now. However, any verses you can lead me to that pin point what that relationship should be would be helpful.

I really do desire a personal relationship with Him. I want to give him the respect, praise, and honor that he deserves. Herein lies the problem, I also want to be able to treat him as my best friend too. I just don’t know exactly how to do that.

OSAS And Rev. 22:19

Published: October 13, 2013
Q

I am a believer of OSAS, however sometimes I run into verses I cannot explain, like Rev 22:19. It seems to imply our names can be removed from the Book of Life. What is your take on this verse and its meaning? How does it fit in with OSAS? What would be taking away from the prophecy of this book?

OSAS. Do We Have To Believe It To Be Saved?

Published: October 13, 2013
Q

If someone believes that they can lose their salvation because of their behavior, are they saved? Though they claim the name of Christ and say they believe he is their Savior, their salvation is not really based on Jesus at all but on themselves. Aren’t they are the ultimate savior of their souls and not Jesus? And though they say that Jesus died for their sins, wouldn’t believing that you can lose your salvation because of something you did or did not do really be saying that because of sin you can go to hell? Thank you for any light you can shed on this. You are greatly appreciated.

Sin, Salvation, And Rewards

Published: October 13, 2013
Q

My question is related to eternal security. In one of your responses, I read that when we are saved, it’s for eternity and there is no way we can be “unsaved”. However, several passages in the Bible warn against falling off or having to “work out our salvation” (Philippians 2:12), or “save ourselves through continuing in the doctrine” (1 Timothy 4:16), or loosing the reward (2 John 1:8), even the book of Revelations mentions “taking away the part from the book of life” (Revelations 22:19).

These passages and many others show that one may loose his reward if he falls off. As a saved person, I will still sin because of my human nature. However in 1 John 3:9, the apostle says that whoever is born of God does not sin and cannot sin. This is a bit confusing too. Suppose after I am saved, I sin and die before confessing my sins committed before I die, what will happen? Will I loose my reward?

The Day We Die

Published: October 12, 2013
Q

I have a troubling question, I truly believe in God our Lord in Heaven! God is the only one, the one who is supposed decide when and how a person should die. With all of the terrible things going on these days, how does God’s plan for our deaths fit into what we will be facing in the times ahead?

The Rapture And The Trumpet

Published: October 12, 2013
Q

The trumpet which will be sounded at the rapture, is it a trumpet sound like an instrument in a band or is it a shofar sound? Also when we hear the trumpet sound will non-believers hear something in the sky that is not a trumpet sound? Will it be like maybe thunder or something? When the trumpet does sound will those who are in Christ hear this even if they are sleeping? Some do sleep very soundly and don’t hear a thing. Thank you and God Bless You.

More On Babylon And America

Published: October 12, 2013
Q

The United states is not mentioned in the bible by name. One verse has really caught my attention. I don’t know where this verse is in the bible but I do know it says. It says, the great Babylon has fallen, has fallen. Now I know when it is repeated twice that means it will happen twice. However the first Babylon has fallen and wont get back up. Could it be (by the way it is described in the bible) that America could possibly be the great Babylon?

A Question About The 144,000

Published: October 11, 2013
Q

Since the 144,000 from Rev. 7 are seen with the Lamb on Mount Zion in Rev. 14, having been redeemed FROM the earth at approximately mid point of Revelation, are the 144,000 slain at mid – trib ? Is the book of Revelation chronological, or does it skip forward and backward in time ?
