My son, age 12, asked if Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross also covered other similar beings – maybe on another planet – if they exist. I think that John 3:16 answers the question by stating “God so loved the world” . But maybe the original text states it differently? Maybe its not necessarily only THIS world? Would you tell us if the original text has a different meaning? Thank you for giving a mother and her son a reason to discuss God.

A question on 2 Peter 3:3-4; who are the scoffers? Are they in the body of Christ? Do they not believe that Christ is coming back, or that he isn’t coming back soon or, that it cannot be known? The pastor at my church believes the Bible says we cannot know when the end is near, and so does not address the subject. Is he a scoffer? He does expositional teaching from the Bible every week and does believe in the rapture, he just does not believe that current events can indicate where we are as regards to prophecy. I appreciate his avid defense of the gospel and his desire to spread the good news, but I have been discouraged by his unwillingness to address what seems obvious to me, that we are quickly approaching the return of our Lord.

Last Sunday at my church, our pastor talked about the refiners fire’s process and he said that God wants us to suffer so he can cleanse us. He used 1 Peter 1:6-7 to support his position. Is this true?

I know that the anti-Christ will work out a 7 year covenant with Israel which will be a sign of the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week. I have just read Rev. 6 again (the seal judgments) and I don’t see how Israel can be at peace with all of these terrible judgments taking place. Does it mean that Israel will be at peace (literally from war only) although the opening of the 2nd seal brings war. Are these judgments solely for the Gentiles with Israel being immune? Could it be that everyone is so preoccupied with their own problems that they leave Israel alone?

I am having problems staying on track with the Lord. I find myself doing well for a month or two and then suddenly I’m back to chasing worldly desires and giving into temptation. I feel so unworthy of His love. What should I do?

I believe one of the main misunderstandings about being born again is John 3:5, where Jesus says to Nicodemus “The Truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit”. To many people being born of water means being baptized as a believer, and some also say being born of the Spirit refers to the baptism of the Holy Spirit thus making one of both of these baptisms a requirement for salvation. Also believing means more than just having a mental assertion, it means to cleave to the point of surrendering ones life if necessary for the belief. What do you think? Could you touch on this on this point?

I’d appreciate your insight into which of two approaches to take when praying for God’s help in an area of need such as a job, spouse, healing, or housing. Luke 18: 1-8 seems to recommend repeatedly requesting something, just as the widow’s pestering of the judge caused him to relent and grant her request. And yet God already knows what we need. So in that case does it show more faith to ask God once for something and then leave it in His hands, trusting that if it’s His will He’ll grant our request? We know that without faith it’s impossible to please God. Which approach pleases our heavenly Father more, repeatedly praying for the same thing, or praying once and trusting He’ll answer?

Not just one prophecy teacher teaches that you can take the mark and still be redeemed. I heard several other well known teachers agree with this on a you tube clip I watched. I really have enjoyed these men’s teachings on other subjects. This teaching could cause people that are here through the tribulation to take the mark to survive thinking they can still be redeemed. What is your opinion on following their teaching if they teach this?

Does the Holy Spirit leave the Earth when the rapture happens?

I am curious about Matthew 24 vs 14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” I was taught all my life that Jesus wouldn’t come back till every nation had heard the gospel. After following your website now for sometime, I believe that Jesus was talking to the nation of Israel in this chapter.

Since I now believe that the rapture will happen when the fullness of the gentiles has come in, this verse 14 must be talking about the period of the tribulation and not of the church reaching the whole world with the gospel. So reaching the whole earth with the gospel is not a prerequisite of the rapture, but of the second coming. Am I correct?
