Is Elijah Coming Again?

Published: July 13, 2014
Q

The prophecy of Malachi 4:5 referring to Elijah coming to this earth again has always been a puzzle to me. Do you think this is a literal coming? Do you think this would be before the rapture or before the second coming of the Lord Jesus? I have looked in your archives for information on this but I don’t seem to locate anything you have written on this. If you have written an article on this please let me know how to locate it.

A Millennium Question

Published: July 13, 2014
Q

Regarding Rev 20:1-3 The Millenial Reign, I don’t understand something. Where are we, who have been faithful to Jesus all of our lives during this time period? I gave my life to Christ and am a firm believer. If Satan is released during the 1000 years, and there’s enough sin left in the heart of man, do I have to fight this battle with myself all over again? OR, do we who have accepted Jesus sacrifice get to rule with Him and be protected from Satan’s lies during the millennium? Please clarify for me.

Q.During the Millennium, the Church will be in the New Jerusalem, home of the redeemed. But read Rev. 20:7 again. “When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison.” According to this verse Satan will not be released until the end of the millennium. Even so, once we’ve been raptured and given our perfected bodies, our fight with sin will be over. We will have overcome the world, just like the Lord did.

The sinful men Satan will recruit at the end of the Millennium (Rev. 20:8) will be descendants of survivors of the Great Tribulation who will go into the Millennium in their natural state to re-populate the Earth. This is foretold in Matt. 25.31-36. These descendants will have rejected the Lord and will have refused to allow His death to pay for their sins. When Satan is released they will be fair game for his deception and will join his final attempt to claim planet Earth as his own. Fire will come down from heaven

Intuitive Awareness Of Right And Wrong

Published: July 13, 2014
Q

Before I was a born again believer I used to differentiate between right and wrong/evil, same as other non-believers are doing today, and even abstain from certain wrong doings because of such convictions. I believe that I was not convicted by the Holy Spirit because I wasn’t yet a believer. Now that I’m Born Again I believe its the Holy Spirit that convicts me of wrongs/evil doings and guides me out of them. What was convicting me before I had the Holy Spirit?

Who’s Responsible? Follow Up

Q

Re: Who’s Responsible For This. I believe, Father God had a “blueprint” of everything that was going to happen to our world. Before something happens, He knows. Therefore, did He not know us by our names, who we were going to be, everything that was going to happen in our lives etc, even before we were “a twinkling in our parents eyes”, and not only from conception?

Can We Get Out of God’s Hands And Choose Hell?

Published: July 12, 2014
Q

I believe we are right with God on our profession of faith in Jesus Christ. If we believe in Christ, we are made righteous, but if we do not believe in him, then we aren’t. Recently, I’ve encountered people saying that we ask for forgiveness and run our race in order to remain righteous. Also, they believe one can fall away from God completely with no possibility of return if they renounce Christ. I’m having a hard time understanding this myself because I’ve been having demonic attacks lately trying to pull me away from God and I do not want to go there. I know the Bible says once we are saved, its forever, but I have a hard time understanding this since in our human nature, we feel like we can just get out of Gods hand and choose Hell. Can you help me understand this?

More On The Parable Of The Wedding Banquet

Q

Re: Saved From The Worst But Kept From The Best? When you wrote about the man being ejected from the wedding feast, you said “He hadn’t kept himself pure and had lost his salvation. When the Lord returned, he tried to gain entrance into the Kingdom in his own clothing (on the strength of his own righteousness) without the righteousness imputed to him by faith (the wedding clothes). He was discovered and ejected.” This man was already at the wedding feast. How then did someone who God knew was not a Christian get into Heaven in the first place? Am I reading this incorrectly?

I’ve been researching the term “outer darkness lately”. There are many sites on the ‘net that bring in this wedding crasher man into this phrase, and a lot of them suggest that Christians who do not get any crowns, or lazy Christians who have no reward are thrown into the outer darkness. No matter where I search, I keep getting conflicting ideas and different opinions. It seems as though no one has a clear answer. To say this has me perplexed is putting it mildly.

Is Faith Without Works Dead?

Published: July 12, 2014
Q

I’ve been given to understand that when James says that a faith without works is a dead faith, he’s referring to someone who’s not saved. That’s what “dead faith” seems to mean in that context. But in Romans 4:5, Paul seems to be saying that if a person does no works, his faith in Him who justifies the ungodly is counted as righteousness. In other words, he’s saved. Please help me reconcile what’s being said in James 2:20-26 and in Romans because both invoke Abraham as an example.

Who’s Responsible For This?

Q

Can you please help me answer my 12yr old son’s question? He doesn’t understand why God would create people like Hitler, knowing full well what they will do here on earth. And in his opinion he feels like God must not really want everyone to go to heaven since God knows what their choices will be & he still allows people to be born that are “destined for hell”. I’ve read some online explanations, but I need something that a 12 yr old can understand.

Will There Be Two Heavens?

Will the church -in New Jerusalem- be separate from all other believers for eternity? Will there be 2 heavens? Thank you for considering questions from confused people like me.

How Does Satan Work?

Published: July 11, 2014
Q

In the recent post “Satan’s Greatest Defeat,” 1 Cor. 2:6-8 seems to indicate that Satan and his minions were behind the crucifixion of the Lord. How do you think he goes about making his plans happen? Is it mind control of some sort? I know that God is actually in control and uses Satan to accomplish His plans, but am uncertain just how Satan works and what powers he has over people.
