The End Of the Age?
Published: August 9, 2014I have a question after talking to my pastor this last Sunday. I asked him if he felt we were in the “End of The Age” and he said our church believes that when Jesus came the first time THAT was the beginning of the “End of The Age.” I want to talk to him more about all I am seeing and understand more. So far in my church I kind of get the brush off like they are too busy to answer. Have you heard of this before?
Easy Believism
Published: August 9, 2014Have you ever encountered the term “easy believism”? If so, could you comment on the term? I typed it into your site search box and it didn’t come up with anything.
Fearful Of Judgment
Published: August 9, 2014In Romans 14:10, Is. 45:23, and II Cor. 5:10 the judgement seat is mentioned. All will stand before the judgement seat of Christ and everyone of us shall give an account of himself to God. How and for what will the believer be held responsible? What does standing before the judgement seat of Christ mean for the believer? It sounds like a very fearful occasion.
Yet Another Trinity Question
Published: August 8, 2014I thank the Lord for all the blessing that I am receiving everyday from your website and the wisdom that God gave to you to explain His word to us. I have a question about your explanation of the Trinity and our Lord Jesus Christ. You said Jesus is forever in human form, you mean like us? But we are created in the image of God and maybe God looks like us?
Second, to whom Jesus paid the price for our sins? We all know that Jesus is our creator as it says in Hebrew and even Lucifer he is a created being of God and everything was created by Him and for Him. Lastly, why it says in Isaiah that our Lord Jesus will die as a ransom for many, why not all?
Paying An Unjust Bill
Published: August 8, 2014What does the Bible say about paying a bill that you should not have been charged and it won’t go away?
Is Born Again A Term For The Church?
Published: August 8, 2014A biblically astute friend claims that the Church has misunderstood the Lord’s statement about being born again in John 3. She claims Jesus was talking about Israel. He meant they were born the first time when they came out of Egypt. The second time will be when ‘a nation is born in a day’ at the second coming. Therefore we should avoid using the “born again” term because it’s misuse of scripture, and not sound doctrine for us today. It isn’t speaking to, for, or about us. She said part of the reason so many people are deceived about that is because Christendom missuses and twists scripture constantly. Your insight and thoughts would be appreciated.
Living In The Millennium. Follow up
Published: August 8, 2014In the answer to your recent question “Living in the Millennium”, you state that the only people allowed in the New Jerusalem would be those who’s names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. As a result, you say, the Old Testament saints would come back and live on the earth in Israel, not in Heaven because their names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life which is reserved for the Church.
My question is why are the Church the only names written in the Book of Life? When Jesus went to the cross, he sacrificed himself for all sinners, past, present, and future. I thought the Book of Life contained the name of those who have been redeemed by the blood of The Lamb, thus including the old testament saint and giving them access to live eternally in heaven with the Lord?
How Can She Go In The Rapture?
Published: August 8, 2014I want to ask about my 29 yr old who was always the most loving, hugging child & she loved Jesus with her whole being, always participating in youth groups and other church related programs. Over the years she has morphed to where I could never have chosen. She is totally turned off by Christianity/the church of today. She blames the fall of a well known creationist for her loss of faith in Christianity and the Bible, including teachings of creation vs. evolution. She now believes that science based philosophies/theories are more provable, visible & believable than the Bible. I agree with your position on OSAS and know the word says that if you bring up a child up in the way they should go, in the end they will not depart from it, but how can she renounce her faith & still be saved & go in the rapture?
The Only One Saved
Published: August 8, 2014My question centers on a Christian’s responsibility to his/her family during family functions. I am the only saved one in my family. When I attend holidays and family functions, it is uncomfortable for me because there are untoward things going on, such as swearing, drinking, gossiping, and occasionally light gambling. I try to ignore it but it’s difficult. What would you recommend if you were in my shoes? If I don’t attend the functions at all, then I risk offending the family. When I do go, I’m uncomfortable. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
What Are the Criteria?
Published: August 7, 2014The past week I have been bothered by two questions that are connected by, I fear, our works: “How are our heavenly treasures determined” and “How are our roles in heaven determined”?
