Doesn’t The Church As A Whole Believe This?

Published: February 20, 2019
Q

I read an article where you said, “The promise of protection through times like this is not to the Church as a whole but to individual believers. To those who seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, God promises to meet our needs” (Matt. 6:31-33). Who is the church as a whole? Are you saying those with faith in God’s promises will have their needs met and the church as a whole doesn’t believe this? Isn’t the Church as a whole the Body of Christ?

Do We Have To Forgive Unbelievers?

Published: February 20, 2019
Q

I found your web site as I was seeking a Biblical answer for a friend of mine who asked me the following: “If a non Christian person wrongs me and never asks for forgiveness do I have to forgive them?”

I told her that at some point she is going to have to forgive but she disagrees. What do you suggest I tell her as she is a new believer and I am afraid that she is going to let a root of bitterness grow, etc.

Is Our God The One And Only?

Published: February 20, 2019
Q

I recently read about a young man who quit the school choir rather than sing a praise song to Allah. That got me thinking. With what you know from your studies of religion, can we know for sure that our God is the one and only?”

Don’t Call Me That

Q

In Matthew 23: 9, while Jesus was talking to the crowds & His disciples, He said: “And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father.” My question is why then are Catholic priests to this day called father if Jesus commanded us not to?

What Is Satan’s Strategy?

Q

You write often about eternal security, OSAS. Scripturally, I agree with you. But if we are eternally sealed when we are born again and the devil cannot snatch us from Christ’s grasp, what is his end game, just our misery?

Why So Much?

Q

Why do you suppose we will need a “house” for all of us? Surely there will not be furniture or a kitchen therein, nor will we need a bed in which to sleep. Neither will there be a need for bathrooms or closets. Does Scripture give any indication as to why this huge complex of 1400 miles X three is being prepared?

Can We Lose God?

Published: February 18, 2019
Q

I have read previous posts that describe God’s promise to bring us back when we have strayed. I have a close friend who has openly rebelled against God after claiming to be saved, even pointing out to anyone who will listen the places where he says the Bible is wrong. If attempting to destroy the faith of others and leading lost souls to destruction is his goal, how can God exist in this man? Is it possible in extreme situations to lose God completely?

Justification And Sanctification

I have a question for you. I listened to a great sermon on Justification and Sanctification recently. Would you please define these two words for me?

More On Seeking Forgiveness

Q

I know there are many scriptures telling us to forgive others. However, can you tell me where we are instructed to ask forgiveness from others. The NT says that if we go to the altar, yet have something against our brother we are to go “and be reconciled,” before we return to the altar. But is there a specific command for us to ask forgiveness from others? (Not saying, “I’m sorry,” but saying, “Will you forgive me?”)
