Prophets Of Yesterday And Today

Published: October 9, 2014
Q

I’ve been doing some thinking about the prophets from the Old Testament scriptures. What kind of men were they? Why did God choose them in particular? What about the nature of prophecy itself? Some people today claim to be prophets and sound very convincing, so what are some guidelines we can use when trying to determine if a person is truly gifted in prophecy, or just seeking attention?

All Prophecies Fulfilled?

Published: October 9, 2014
Q

I also believe that all prophesies in the Bible either have been or will be fulfilled. In your article “Failed Prophecies Of The Bible?”, you say, “…… but the land of Egypt has not yet lain desolate for 40 years…….The prophecy has not failed.” So …. if the fulfillment of all prophesies should occur by the Second Coming, when do you think the 40 desolate years occur? Thanks again for your dedication to correctly dividing the Word of truth and sharing it with us.

Ezekiel’s Temple

Q

Thank you so much for your site. I’m studying about the temple of Ezekiel, and the boundaries of Israel during the Millennium and google search came up with your site. I read and took notes on your article “The Coming Temple”. Very well researched; thanks.

My questions are as follows:

1. the temple built in Shiloh … is it the temple described in Ezekiel 40-48? You confused me by saying (and I quote from your article)

“Following instructions given by Ezekiel, this Temple will be located north of Jerusalem in Shiloh.”

The instructions you are referring to, are they in Ezek. 40-48?

2. When Yahshua returns to build the fallen tent of David, which temple is that? You say that temple is Ez 40-48. Do you mean that Ezekiel describes two temples? Please clarify.

3. Have you considered the temple not made by hands? Have you considered that the tent of David could be the ‘family’ or house of David? The Greek word used here can be translated as family or house.

Repenting The Biblical Way

Q

Is it possible for someone to have faith in Jesus without repenting of their sins? If so, how does one go about repenting of their sins the biblical way?

Why Did Paul Go To Jerusalem? Follow Up

Q

Re: Why Did Paul Go To Jerusalem? This leads me to ask, then, did Paul die an “untimely” death? . . . and do people (particularly believers) sometimes die “untimely” deaths?

7 Years Left Or 3 1/2?

Published: October 8, 2014
Q

The Jews have yet to complete the 70th week of Daniel to reconcile themselves with God. We know that it will be done by recognizing Jesus as their savior. His ministry lasted for 3 1/2 years. Why isn’t that counted towards the 7 years of the 70th week leaving 3/1/2 years for the Great Tribulation?

Did Ezekiel Know Daniel?

Published: October 8, 2014
Q

I’ve come across a verse I hadn’t either considered before, or just hadn’t thought about. “Behold, you are wiser than Daniel! There is no secret that can be hidden from you! (Ez. 28:3).I know the Lord was sending a message to the ruler of Tyre through Ezekiel, but my question is, how did Ezekiel know about Daniel, and how did the ruler of Tyre seemingly have all this knowledge?

ISIS, Islam, And The End Times

Published: October 8, 2014
Q

I’ve been reading more and more about ISIS expansion and recruitment in the world, the latest is in Tunisia and now Cyprus is concerned. Could it be that ISIS is the vehicle used by the Anti-Christ to come to power, meaning that Islam will be the ruling power in the world at the return of Jesus? Also, does the Bible mention beheading as a form of punishment for Christians in the end times, which would also support the belief that Islam will be the ruling power?

Jewish Tradition

Published: October 7, 2014
Q

I was wondering what your source is when you say according to “Jewish history” or “Jewish tradition.” I listen to your mp3 studies all the time. In fact I burn them to a disc and listen to them during my morning drive to work. I have searched the Internet over and cannot find a Jewish tradition or Jewish history site. I really enjoy all the historical background that you add to your studies. If I could only find a church that teaches like you do, I would show up every Sunday.

Exercising Good Stewardship

Q

We give our tithe to the church and the money goes for all kinds of needs for the church and different ministries. There are so many needs in our church community and we have missionary needs as well. I know some of the money goes to these things but when you see churches buying things that don’t help much like a $100,000 sign to advertise what is going on or upcoming events, I have this feeling something is wrong. Hope you can help me out with this.
