Will God Save All His Children?

Published: November 20, 2014
Q

Is it possible that God will save ALL of His children? The Bible seems to leave open the subject, because in the end all the tears are wiped from our eyes. What if He only made the souls that would endure?

What Does John 9:4 Mean?

Re. John 9:4. What does Jesus mean when he says that the night is coming when no man can work? Did it come then? Or is it for this time?

Will The Church Suffer Persecution?

Published: November 19, 2014
Q

I understand that the first abomination of desolation rendered the temple unfit for used in about 167BC and that the altar to the pagan god Zeus Olympus was set up in about 168BC by Antiochus Epiphanes prefiguring a similar abomination that Jesus Christ predicted would be erected in Matthew 24:15. In Revelation 13:5-7, the antichrist is seen in the future to make war with the church! Before the rapture, will the present church undergo prosecution like in the days of the first abomination when worshipers in the temple in Jerusalem were falling by the sword, burned, captured, or plundered?

Does God Make Us Sick?

Published: November 19, 2014
Q

I know someone who says she has a deliverance ministry. She says that all sicknesses and diseases are from un-repented ‘sins’ in us! She believes if you repent enough (asking God to show you all the sins connected with a particular sickness/disease) and you repent that you eventually get deliverance and healed from those problems! She says that God puts and uses these diseases and sickness so we will repent and be made pure and perfect, so on the Day, we will be able to stand before The Lord! My question to you is: Does God put these sickness and diseases on us?

Just The Facts Please

Q

I tell you, it’s so confusing with the various viewpoints of eschatology; preterist, futurist, premillennial, amillennial, postmillennial, pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib. Who knows what to think? It’s unfortunate there is so much fuzziness with interpretation of prophecy among Christ’s followers. Why can’t we all agree on the facts?

Punishment For Believers Or Unbelievers?

Q

Thanks so much for your very informative site. I have a question regarding Luke 12: 47-48. Who is being spoken of here ? Do these verses indicate punishment for lazy believers or degrees of punishment for unbelievers ?

Armies On Horseback Again?

Published: November 19, 2014
Q

I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s generally best to take the Bible literally if it makes sense that way. I do have some problems with a passage in Revelation. In the Armageddon time, scriptures talk of horses in battle and, of course, the verse about blood being to the horses bridle. The standard explanation is that John was using his own understanding to communicate future events. I’m o.k with that, but then I read an article about EMP (electromagnetic pulse generation) a type of weapons system that, in simple terms, occurs when a nuclear device is detonated high above a city, the consequence being that everything electrical in the blast area is fried. I can’t understand the physics of it, but I assume it’s possible. So, do you think that it is possible that this could be how the US is taken out of the forefront of end times events? If an event like this happened over Europe, could that be a reason that the armies of Armageddon are on horseback, or an I reading too much into the verses?

Soldiers On Horseback?

Published: November 19, 2014
Q

Thank you again for the wisdom that God has given you to help those of us searching for answers! My question is, if we are to take the Bible literally, will Gog’s army (Ezekiel 38:4) actually be on horses again? Could something cause machines not to work and we go back to horses as our mode of transport?

Why Another Temple? Follow Up

Published: November 17, 2014
Q

Re: Why Another Temple? I understand there will always be a temple for the Jewish people even during the Millennium. I don’t understand why, as Zola Levitt said, “Here come the Jews with that slaughterhouse religion of theirs”. Why do they need to sacrifice critters, whom I love, if they now have Jesus who gave the ultimate sacrifice? Can’t they have a temple and just honor Him? He clearly is the only way to salvation, not rites and rituals.

Adding To Or Subtracting From God’s Word

Published: November 17, 2014
Q

I much enjoy your insight of the Bible and I have a question adding to and/or taking away from the Word of God. Duet. 4:2 and Proverbs 30:6 warn against this. Rev. 22:18,19 speaks of the consequences of adding to or taking away from “the words of the prophecy of this book” and the resulting punishment in so doing.
