Understanding Ephesians 4:11-12
Published: January 18, 2015The Apostle Paul speaks about the gifts that Christ has given the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and the teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build the church, the body of Christ. My first question is where the operation (job description) of these gifts are defined in the Bible because I want to know how a certain gift is expected to operate? Secondly, why in these days do we specifically hear only about Pastors and other gifts are seemingly disregarded as compared to pastoring?
Catholic Christians?
Published: January 18, 2015Your answers to questions have cleared up many areas of Bible prophecy in which I was confused or just did not understand. You are a blessing to all of us who desire to understand God’s prophetic word. May God continue to bless your ministry! I recently read on your site, that you believe that many Roman Catholics will be raptured, leaving the church in a state of chaos. Would you please share your belief of this, my heart has been heavily burdened for Roman Catholics, and any encouragement you could provide would be a true ministry to me.
What’s The Lord Telling Me?
Published: January 18, 2015I have a question about giving. A couple years ago, my wife and I prayed about an opportunity that would enable us to give more to the Lord. We looked into a small business opportunity that she could run while I maintained my full time job. We prayed about this endeavor and felt the green light to move forward. This was two years ago. Since that time, we haven’t made any money in the business. In church this morning, I felt the Lord tug at my heart and ask me to trust Him with the income from that small business even though it’s not making money. If I do this it will mean there will be some business bills I can’t pay right away. Do you think the Lord is waiting for me to start giving from the business revenue before the business prospers?
God’s Laws Or Man’s?
Published: January 18, 2015Along the topic of whether homosexuals should be allowed to get married or not, I was wondering what your take on the matter was. Since I know that you always back up your answers with Biblical truth I value your insight. My Christian friends and I debate this because even though I am a Christian and do not agree with homosexuals and their lifestyles, I don’t believe that we as Christians, heterosexuals, or humans whether it be in the private or government sector have the right to tell them they cannot get married. We can pray for them to find Jesus and if they search, teach them why homosexuality is a huge disgrace to God. However, the way I see it is that God gave us all free will to choose sin if that is what we want to choose. So how can we take the free will, of two consenting adults who want to get married, away from them? Doesn’t this go against God’s “free will” plan for every human?
The Holy Spirit, Now And Then
Published: January 18, 2015When we get to heaven , will we still have the Holy Spirit indwelling us?
Angry With God For 40 Years
Published: January 18, 2015My sister lost a baby girl through crib death over forty years ago, and still the pain persists. She has often asked me why God took her daughter. I have to admit that I don’t know, even though I know my niece is with our Father in Heaven. For all these years, my sister has been very angry with God about this. How do I answer her question without getting into an argument?
Another Rapture?
Published: January 18, 2015I was reading an article on (another) website, where the author stated that she believes that the virgins in Matthew 25 refer not to the “bride”, but to her “companions”. She states that the Bride will be called during the day, while her companions will be called at midnight, or halfway through the night. In other words, she is saying that there will be another Rapture which will occur at mid point of the Tribulation. What are your thoughts on this?
OSAS And The Mark Of The Beast
Published: January 18, 2015Regarding the question and answer “OSAS And Being Forced To Recant”, does that apply to those who would accept the mark of the beast under duress?
My Husband Hates Religion
Published: January 18, 2015I am married to a man who, although he believes in Jesus, cannot stand anything to do with organized religion, including even the idea of Church because of the problems that it has caused in the world. He frequently says “All in the name of religion”. How can I help him to separate our God from the hatred, war, hypocrisy, money grubbing nature of organized religion today? And I guess really, I ask for me too, since I agree with him. I guess in a way I worry that if we do decide to have kids that there may be some issues in how to raise them. I want my kids to have all the exposure to Jesus and Christianity that I had.
Sleeping in The New Jerusalem
Published: January 18, 2015My question has to do with Christ being the light and we will have no need for the sun to light our way in the New Jerusalem. I always thought that the Bible says that we will always have the seasons and night and day. Does this pertain only to the earth and not to The New Jerusalem and mean that we will not sleep like we do during our night now?
