Who Should We Pray To?
Published: February 3, 2015I’ve recently been noticing more people praying to Jesus and/or the Holy Spirit during public prayer times. This doesn’t make sense to me since Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Our Father…” No where else in the Bible do I see prayer being directed to anyone else except God the Father. Just wondering if I am missing something or there is Biblical warrant for what I have essentially assumed for most of my life?
Just Because We Believe
Published: February 3, 2015Is the fact that we “believe without seeing” the only reason the Church is the most blessed “group” in all humanity? Is our faith the reason that God only granted to us salvation that we can’t lose and declared us the most blessed group, or there are any other reasons?
The King Of Israel
Published: February 3, 2015In the Old Testament, it seems to be clear from the beginning of Israel’s existence that God had ordained them to be ruled by judges. Only after the Hebrews’ vainglorious whining and their envy of other nations, did God acquiesce by allowing them to be ruled by a king: hence Saul, Israel’s first king.
For what reason would God’s Master Plan redeem mankind–in the future– in the person of a “king”? Why would God not send the Messiah for the Jews into the world in the re-instituted capacity as Israel’s “judge”? It seems this would have been bringing His will back to the forefront for Israel and, as well as, admonishing them for wanting something that God didn’t want them to have in the first place.
Already Experienced The 5th Trumpet Judgment?
Published: February 2, 2015I read an opinion that we have already experienced the first five trumpets and are awaiting the sixth which will bring about the Rapture. This person believes the timeline follows proper interpretation of Daniel 11 and understanding the trumpets. He says he is pre trib but delineates from regular views.Have you heard or read anything about this?
More On 6,000 Years Or 4.5 Million
Published: February 2, 2015Re: 6,000 Years Or 4.5 Million. I believe the Bible says the earth and whole creation is approximately 6,000 years old. I heard one Bible teacher explain that miraculous creation implies age. In other words, if God created a 30 year old man 10 minutes ago, that man would be both 10 minutes and 30 years old at the same time, and that explains tens of thousands of years old fossils, etc. in an earth that is only 6,000 years old. That’s the best and most logical (to me) explanation I’ve heard explaining prehistoric discoveries. Is there another or better one Biblically speaking?
6,000 Years Or 4.5 Million?
Published: February 2, 2015How long have humans been on earth? I have read your answer on this topic and if I remember correctly, you stated that Adam & Eve were created about 6 thousand years ago. But scientists have discovered the human remains of a 4.5 million year old woman. I’m confused, and I look forward to reading your answer.
Honoring My Parents
Published: February 2, 2015I want to obey my parents and show them respect, but sometimes it feels like their expectations are unreasonably high. When I was a child I could understand. But now that I’m 25, it feels like a huge burden as they are refusing to let me go. What does the Bible say about obedience to our parents? Does it mean we must follow every command they issue? What is considered “respect and honor?” How far can they go in terms of demanding respect and honor? How far must I go to make them feel respected and honored? I would greatly appreciate some insight as I really don’t want to disobey the 5th commandment.
Salvation In The Millennium
Published: February 1, 2015As there will be sin on earth during the Millennium, what is the “process” for being saved: for the forgiveness of sin? With Jesus reigning from Jerusalem, and the likelihood of members of the Church visiting, or even teaching, or policing, on earth during the Millennium, how is it possible that some mortals will not be saved during that time? How can they fail to believe and be saved?
Waning Rapture Enthusiasm
Published: February 1, 2015I find that in recent times my rapture enthusiasm seems to have waned somewhat, and I don’t know why. I am starting to fear that it is because I never had any true faith in Jesus at all, and am just deluding myself into thinking I’m a true Christian when I am just a false convert. Do you have any advice for me?
The Water Vapor Canopy
Published: February 1, 2015I know you believe there was a water vapor canopy surrounding the Earth before the flood, but I recently read an article claiming that both the Bible and science agree that couldn’t have been so. The author’s conclusions are based on two Hebrew words in Genesis 1:6-7 and the fact that our atmosphere couldn’t support the amount of water it would take. What do you think? Did God change the atmosphere so He could put the water vapor canopy in place?
