Struggling With sin

Published: April 20, 2015
Q

I struggle with a particular sin that seems to have a stronghold on me. I commit this particular sin because I like it. I know it is wrong but I do it anyway… because I like it. After I commit this sin I feel guilty and remorseful. I repent and ask God to forgive me only to go right back and do it again. It’s as if there are two of me warring against each other. It has become a vicious cycle. Sometimes it seems like I’m fighting a losing battle. I’m so frustrated!

Is There Life Before Life?

Q

Jeremiah 1:5 states the Lord knew Jeremiah before He formed him in the womb. Are there any more verses in scripture that show we were with God in spirit form before we were born?

Between The Rapture And Daniel’s 70th Week

Published: April 20, 2015
Q

A well known author recently wrote that “The one factor that is a big unknown is the amount of time that will elapse between the Rapture of the church and the signing of the covenant that will initiate the seven years of Tribulation.” To help me, can I just clarify your understanding of the Pre-Trib position on this matter? Surely the Rapture immediately triggers the Tribulation or have I misunderstood?

Israel And The Fig Tree

Published: April 20, 2015
Q

I have always believed that Jesus was using the fig tree to symbolize Israel being reborn in Matt.24:32-34. But then Jesus said, “and when you see these things come to pass, know that my coming is near, even at the doors.” Things is plural and not singular. So Jesus could be describing many things (as in “birth pangs”) & not just the rebirth of Israel. But when do the birth pangs begin? Also, if you look at Luke’s version of the fig tree parable, he says “fig tree and all the trees.” This is very confusing because no one can accurately say when the birth pangs started and therefore cannot determine, within any reasonable space of time, when “this generation” begins or ends. Can you clarify this?

Who Is Being Blotted Out Of The Book?

Q

Re: Psalm 69:28. If God knows the end from the beginning, Alpha and Omega, and we are predestined to His call and our names our reserved til that time when we confirm our reservation in His Lamb’s Book of Life and are sealed, who is blotted out?

Name Those Angels

Published: April 19, 2015
Q

My question is a two part one. First, exactly how many Archangels are there? Besides Michael and Gabriel, the only other one that I’m aware of is Raphael, and very little mention is made of him. Is there any particular reason why this is so?

Thoughts On Col. 1:19

Published: April 19, 2015
Q

I am hoping for some insight from you on Colossians 1:19. Do you believe this refers to the heavenly battle (as I do) with the angels and is this reconciliation and peace a forgiveness of some angels or the judgment of them or am I completely off the mark altogether?

Can I Be Forgiven?

Published: April 19, 2015
Q

I have never asked this question before or told anyone about this, but it haunts me daily. Do we know how or about what we will be judged? I know it says not by our works and that we will have eternal life if we believe. I do believe and I am a good faithful and practicing Christian woman but when young I went through what was probably post- partum depression and abused my baby.

This baby is an adult now and has had a drug problem most of his life, but is saved and a believer too. I feel very guilty. I cannot imagine that I would be forgiven for this sin against an innocent child. Even the Bible says that “woe be unto those who harm them”. So what is your advice for me? I don’t just want comfort, just the truth.

Why Are Catholics Wrong?

Q

Why are we as Catholics wrong in trying to get as close and intimate to our Lord Jesus Christ as we can through the Roman Catholic Church?

Larger Earth Theory. Follow-Up

Q

Re: The Larger Earth Theory. Reading it brings to mind a question I have had for a long time. What about the Sun’s heat benefit for the earth? I truly believe that the New Jerusalem could provide the light needed for earth but I can’t understand how the earth will survive with the heat benefit gone. Are we not to believe all we have learned about how the universe was put together and how it works?
