Going To Hell For Suicide?

Published: April 23, 2015
Q

I was raised in the Catholic church and never understood the concept of purgatory and the belief that if you committed suicide you would go there. After the Judgment of the Bema seat took place, then you would be sent to hell because you took your own life. now I attend Bible believing churches and have learned that a believer does not go to hell because they committed suicide. Once saved always saved. Please help me to understand this.

Loss Of Free Will. Follow Up

Published: April 23, 2015
Q

I saw in a post where you told a person who asked about the loss of free will that we wouldn’t be robots, Free will is what makes us Us, take away free will and we are just puppets on a string who will perform as God wills us to perform. Even in Heaven, it means I will live out eternity with out a choice and be happy for it. Not because I’m really happy, but because God tells me I’m happy so I am. I’m sorry. I guess my sin nature is speaking because that sounds horrible.

Holding A Non-Believer Accountable

Published: April 23, 2015
Q

Could you please refer me to verses that deal with holding a ‘non believer’ business accountable for un-ethical behavior, where people are lied to and taken advantage of? I need to be clear as to how God desires that I proceed. Several years ago, a large sum of money (that was owed to me) was never given to me after I left the company. The business is still in operation and still deceiving people. Do I have a responsibility to act on behalf of those who do not know what is being done?

Should I Stop Associating With Her?

Published: April 23, 2015
Q

I read in your article where Paul cautions us not to associate with believers who live sinful lives. I have a dear friend whose family is not living a Godly life (in my opinion) but she’s a new believer. Her children ask me questions all the time about God and the rapture and Hell as does she. She truly believes what I tell her and professes Christ to everyone, but she has not left her worldly behaviors behind, even though I’ve talked to her about it. So, my question is am I sinning by associating with her?

Will The Sacrifices Save Them?

Published: April 22, 2015
Q

I understand Jews living in Israel will sacrifice in the temple during the first three and one half years of Daniels 70th Week. It seems there will be two groups again. Those believing in Jesus and those in the Father only. You said and I agree that salvation will be by faith that they have to maintain. Now, will the Jew who doesn’t profess faith in Jesus as Messiah have salvation because they believe in the Father and are sacrificing again?

Loss Of Free Will

Published: April 22, 2015
Q

I was reading a previous post of yours saying those in heaven will lose their free will. Were you speaking just of the sin nature or will those in heaven have absolutely no free will? I get in heaven not wanting/being able to sin but surely once we’re there we will still be individually unique and won’t just be robots, right?

This Means War!

Q

It seems like the more I seek to live for the Lord the harder He makes it for me. I can not understand why He allows such bad things to happen in my life. I preached to my wife and daughter and led them to Christ. But the more I turn to the Lord, it seems the more He turns away from me and crushes me, and now we are all depressed and despondent. Sometimes it scares me what God will allow in a person’s life. How can I lead other people to Christ and say to them, just trust the Lord for the better, after what he’s done to me?

Has Isaiah 17 Been Fulfilled?

Published: April 21, 2015
Q

I was preaching the other day about the Rapture when the Lord gave me an insight regarding Isaiah 17. He said: please notice that Damascus has been nearly destroyed and will not return to be a city anymore. I just met with an Arab friend who went there and he confirmed that. I understand it is the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 that occurred just in front of our eyes (not in the real sense because it didn’t appear on TV). What do you think?

Do Believers Sin Or Not?

Published: April 21, 2015
Q

I have someone who struggles understanding scripture about being a born again Believer and still wrestling with sin! They have read 1 John 3:9-10 and according to the verses it sounds like a born again believer cannot sin and if someone does sin they are not born again! Can you clarify these scripture and the sin issues people wrestle with as believers!

Trampled On By the Gentiles

Q

I’m wondering if “the generation” that sees the event mentioned in Matt. 24:34 actually started with 1948 and Israel once again being declared a nation or in 1967 began when Jerusalem was recaptured by the Jews. So much of prophecy seem centered on Jerusalem itself; couldn’t this have been the “clock starter mentioned in Matt 24:34?
