Rabbi Vs. Teacher
Published: May 4, 2016In Ephesians 4:11 – the “teachers” that Paul spoke of, are those the same as rabbi? Thanks and have a blessed day!
Am I Where God Wants Me?
Published: May 4, 2016How can I tell that I am right where God wants me to be? I want to make sure that I am on fire for Him and doing His will. God bless and thank you.
Comprehending The Incomprehensible
Published: May 4, 2016My mother, a former catholic, now born-again (praise GOD!) is having a terrible time understanding how Jesus can be God and God’s Son at the same time, and cannot at all comprehend how Mary became impregnated with Jesus. I have tried to explain it to her to the best of my ability, but she is still very confused and can’t understand. Would you please help me find the right words to help her understand? I would appreciate it so much. I appreciate what you do here so much and trust completely that you are led by The Holy Spirit. Thank you very much for your time and attention!
Opening And Closing Doors
Published: May 4, 2016My daughter always prays “that God will open the door if it is intended to be His will, or He will close the door, if it is not His will.” I do not believe this works, primarily because usually people praying that way, want an almost instant answer, and to my experience, God does not act that quickly.
Recently they put a down payment on a home, without selling their other one first. And there appears to be some problems, and she said “But, I prayed God would open doors or close them.” I tried to explain to her, but she said then how are you ever suppose to know.? Maybe you can give her a better answer than I can.
I think some people hear that verse that says “God will open the door that no one can close” and take it to mean the above? Thank you so much, you are wonderful, and God is doing great things through you and nothing can be better than that.
Explaining Salvation
Published: May 4, 2016I want to start off by saying that I love your site, and I think it’s the best.
My question is this. I’ve been discussing with my friends lately on how to become saved. I told them that if we believe in Jesus and realize that we are sinners, and we are in need of savior then we are saved. We must have faith in Jesus Christ.
The question that they always throw at me is this. “If Jesus paid for our sins then can we just go around and do anything we want and still be saved?” My answer is, yes, they are still saved, but if they are truly saved then they would want to try and honor Jesus.
Is there a good way for me to answer this question that they are throwing at me?
The Holy People In Matt. 27
Published: May 4, 2016Is Matthew 27:52,53 describing a historical event? If so, why only Matthew recorded this? Who were those “holy people who had died were raised to life”? Does “raised to life” mean “resurrection” in such context?
The Kingdom Church
Published: May 4, 2016What exactly does it mean when a church calls itself a Kingdom Church?
Why Didn’t God Send Someone Else?
Published: May 4, 2016How come God had to send His only son to Earth to accomplish what he wanted accomplished? Why didn’t God just talk to someone else and tell them what to do? (kinda like Noah) So Jesus, being his “Only Son” does that mean he can’t send another person to earth now?
Abraham’s Children
Published: May 4, 2016Where do we find any reference that Abraham had 8 kids (Isaac, Ishmael, and 6 others from another woman)? I have recently heard this teacher saying that, but he didn’t specify the source.
Saved Or Not?
Published: May 4, 2016About 10 years ago I prayed for a relative a day before his bleeding stomach surgery and shared the gospel with him. Afterward he agreed to say the sinner’s prayer with me. He recovered from his surgery but went back to his pagan practices. A couple of years ago he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. This time he was led to say the sinner’s prayer by his sister and a friend. His family are all very strong Christians and they got him baptized as well. He recently passed away. Do you think he was saved, or did he disqualify himself by going back to his old ways after he asked the first time?
