Interpreting Dreams
Published: September 12, 2016I am a college student taking Psychology this semester. This week, I have an assignment due on Dream Interpretations. My instructor sent me to a website that interprets dreams and gives their symbolic meaning. Being a Christian, I don’t feel like this is a Christ-pleasing thing to do. I don’t believe it’s up to us to interpret our dreams and try to put symbolic meaning to them. I was wondering what the Biblical perspective is to interpreting dreams. Any help or Scripture references you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless!

Published: September 12, 2016In another Q&A you said, “Freedom means all the sins of our life have been covered, that we don’t ever have to worry about measuring up. If we slip, as we all do, we’re guaranteed forgiveness each time we ask.” What if the person slips up and does not ask for forgiveness or does not desire forgiveness and keeps on sinning?
OSAS, Freedom Or Enslavement?
Published: September 12, 2016The church has become so liberal that it is becoming self-righteous by changing God into what they are as opposed to us changing into what God wants us to be. And, in my opinion, is responsible for misleading the sheep to slaughter. Faith is an act of belief. I think Jesus made it plain when He said, “If you love Me, keep my commandments.” Believing in Christ does not make it legal to sin and that is the misleading part. I could go on, but I won’t. I just believe that a person who is safe in Christ is so because they are walking with Him. I whole heartedly believe a person cannot lose (their salvation) but can forfeit their hope of eternal life by choosing to go back to their old ways. If one cannot, then they were more free before coming to know Christ since they are in a bondage where they cannot choose. Free indeed means freedom to come, and to go, if one desires.
Did He Or Didn’t He?
Published: September 12, 2016Can you help me to understand what the Lord is saying to us in Phil 2:6? The ESV renders it: “Who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped” yet the KJV renders it: “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.”
To me, the KJV rendering seems to suggest that Jesus had no problem with considering Himself (while as a man) to be equal with God. All the other versions I’ve read are similar to the ESV rendering in that He didn’t regard Himself that highly out of humility. Am I misreading something here? I honestly don’t know if He did or didn’t think this way of Himself. Thank you for your help. I am very thankful for the edifying ministry of this website!
Questions About Israel And The Church
Published: September 12, 2016Why did Jesus speak of raising up those who believe in Him on the last day? Doesn’t the rapture come at least 7 years before the last day? Also, is the New Jerusalem populated only by the Church, or will Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have residence there. It’s difficult to believe they will live on the new earth but have no permanent home in the Eternal City.
Is God Ever Angry With Us?
Published: September 12, 2016I know that Jesus’ death on the cross paid the price for all of my past, present, and future sins. And I know that nothing I have done or ever can do could help me earn my salvation. It’s already been done by Jesus. My question though is this: Does God get angry or upset with us believers for things we do or times of doubt? I know all I need is to repent/ask forgiveness but I still wonder if we do things that make him mad and want to discipline us the way a loving dad would their own son?
Inheriting The Earth
Published: September 12, 2016Re: Blessed are The Meek. Regarding “inheritance” as mentioned in Matt 5:5. you said, “if Jesus was given the Earth as His inheritance and if we have been made co-heirs with Him then we also will inherit the Earth, just like He said in Romans 8:17 and Galatians 4:7.” I agree on what the bible says, however, I have also read in your column that we being included in the family called “church”will populate the “New Jerusalem”. This is where my confusion arises, so my question is: Do you want us to believe that as we populate the new Jerusalem, we will also inherit the new earth? Please explain further.
Blessed Are The Meek
Published: September 12, 2016Matt. 5:5 says, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Do you know what Jesus meant by this verse?
Is Belief In The Rapture Required To Go?
Published: September 11, 2016I believe that to go in the rapture you must believe there will be one. How can anyone expect to receive something when they don’t believe it exists? The rapture fighters and non believers will get what they believe in. I pray and hope all will come to believe in the catching away of the saints, but I firmly believe you must believe it to receive it. What say you?
Is The Church Responsible?
Published: September 11, 2016I heard someone teach that it is the duty of the Bride of Christ to finance the return of the house of Israel to the homeland. He goes so far as to say that “the blood of Israel is on our hands.” In other words, if we as Christians do not help finance the return of Israel to the homeland, somehow we will be found with blood on our hands.
He is using the story of Ruth and Boaz to support his teaching. He likens Ruth gleaning the four corners of the field and bringing the grain to lay in Naomi’s lap as the Bride of Christ financing the return of the dispersed Israelites from the four corners of the earth to the homeland.
From your studies, what exactly does scripture have to say on this issue? Is the Body of Christ responsible for the return of the Jews to the homeland?
