Millennial King David?

Published: September 20, 2016
Q

I was just wondering where in the Bible it talks about King David ruling during the Millennium. You mentioned it in another study and that was the first I’d ever heard of it. Also why would the Third Temple be located in Shiloh? Isn’t Jerusalem God’s capitol on Earth? Thanks in advance and God Bless.

What Makes Us Worthy?

Published: September 20, 2016
Q

You have stated that everyone who is ‘saved’, has accepted Jesus’ marvelous sacrifice and depends entirely on His finished work for salvation, will be taken in the Rapture, and I agree. My question concerns Luke 21:36 where Jesus says ‘to keep awake and pray always that you may be ACCOUNTED WORTHY to escape all these things and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man”. This seems to say that there is something we have to do to be accounted worthy, would you explain this? Also, do you see a connection between this passage and I Thess. 5:23,24 ?

Can We Hinder God’s Work In Others?

Published: September 20, 2016
Q

I recently received a Daily Devotion from a Christian website, which began as follows: “Do we fully understand what it costs the kingdom of God when we live with a restricted commitment to Christ? Countless souls may never hear the good news, much-needed Christian workers may never put feet to their faith, and prayers that would have been answered are never uttered.”

This statement disturbed me, because it seems to imply that our shortcomings can somehow prevent God’s Will from being done in the lives of others. I can understand how our decisions directly effect our own lives, but if we fail to witness to someone, for example, does this mean that they will never hear the Good News and in effect, we are hindering their salvation? Thank you for bringing clarity to issues like this that are not always so easy to understand.

Why Did John Baptize People?

Published: September 19, 2016
Q

I was wondering why, seeing as baptism was not performed in Old Testament times, John the baptist started to baptize people to symbolize their repentance. I know in the New Testament Jesus instructs people to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but John came before Jesus.

Transdispensationalism?

Q

I just read about something called “Transdispensationalism”. Have you heard of it? It can sound convincing to those of us who see our Heavenly Father as loving and desiring that none be lost. I trust your opinion and all scripture that will apply.

The Gift Of The Holy Spirit

Published: September 19, 2016
Q

I have a question about this verse: “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” My question is, did Jesus imply we have to ask for the Holy Spirit? I thought the Spirit was already sealed in us by God when we first believed?

How Can We Know That Prophecies Are Real?

Published: September 18, 2016
Q

How do I show somebody with a limited knowledge of the Bible that the prophecies it contains are real and are an important part of scripture (I understand it to comprise between 28-30% of scripture depending on who you ask), and that the whole point of God speaking through His prophets was to give us insight into events to come and not just confuse us?

Receiving The Holy Spirit

Q

I have a Holy Spirit Question. I ‘m newly saved, and have fallen in love with the Word Of God. Can a saved person today know if they have received the gift of the Holy Spirit?

How Can We Sin And Still Go To Heaven?

Q

You say we cannot act in any way that will cause us to lose our salvation. The Bible says sin separates us from God. How can we sin and still go to heaven?
