Jesus In The Temple?

Published: February 27, 2017
Q

Have just read your article ‘The End Times According To Ezekiel, Part 5‘ and this one contained something that made me wonder. In it you said;

“The Lord had to go back to His place in Heaven, the people had to go into captivity, the Temple and City had to be destroyed by fire, and the land itself had to lie fallow for 70 years. And although it’s often overlooked, even though the Lord made good on His promise to restore the people, the City, the Temple, and the Land, He Himself never returned. Even when Jesus came to visit, He stood and taught on the Temple Mount, but He never entered it.”

I went to the eSword Bible and found quite a few that said He taught in the Temple, departed from the Temple, etc… Can you explain what you mean by this, and I’ll bet I’m not the only one left wondering. Did I misunderstand what it was you were trying to convey?

How Did Job Know?

Published: February 24, 2017
Q

In my study of the book of Job, I was confused when he purified his children and made burnt offerings for them. As there was some doubt whether or not Job was a Jew because of where he lived (in the land of Edom), how did he know about burnt offerings? In fact, how did Cain and Abel Know about offerings? I did read in Genesis 8:20 that Noah made burnt offerings. Do you think that he received a revelation about it? I enjoy your web sight and you have become my “go to” when I need help, after the Holy Spirit of course.

Are All Seven Years Consecutive?

Published: February 24, 2017
Q

We know that the Great Tribulation will last 1,260 days. But, regarding the first 42 months — do we know that those times, those days and months, are necessarily consecutive? That is, is it possible that there will be breaks in the progression of prophetic fulfillment to allow for the logistical problems of “everything coming together at the same time”?

Could there be, say, two or three months of fulfillment, followed by an interim for “stray parts” to fit together and catch up, followed by another period of fulfillment, and another “break,” to make the first 42 months of the Tribulation be strung out over a period of, say, 50 or 60 or 100 months of actual elapsed calendar time?

Saturday Vs. Sunday Sabbath

Q

I would like to know if you believe that Saturday is the Sabbath and not Sunday. Do you believe that God rested on the seventh day from creation and we are to keep his holy Sabbath?

The Puzzle Of The 12 Tribes

Published: February 23, 2017
Q

My wife and I have been going over the tribes of Israel and we noticed something and can not explain it. There is no tribe of Joseph. Ephraim and Manasseh are Josephs sons and Levi of course is the priests there for I guess they don’t count as a tribe. Another oddity which seems to not get much play is Joseph’s sons are from the Egyptian Pharaoh’s Daughter which by the standards of Hebrew tradition means they are not Jews. How-ever when they are brought to Jacob before he dies he lays his hands on them and adopts and blesses them, so technically they became their father’s brothers. Any thoughts?

Two Questions About Moses And Aaron

Published: February 23, 2017
Q

It is so wonderful to be able to ask a bible scholar those questions that no one I know is able to answer. Thank you for the time you take to respond so thoroughly to everyone’s questions.

I have two questions. Why did God have the Israelites that worshiped the golden calf killed, but do nothing to Aaron who fashioned the calf? In fact, he later made him a priest.

The other question is, why was God so angry with Moses and Aaron over the water miracle in the desert, that they were not allowed to enter the promised land?

What Stopped The Nephilim?

Published: February 22, 2017
Q

I was wondering if you believe that something about the human reproductive system changed after the flood along with our shortened life spans that rendered the nephelim incapable of interbreeding with humanity as they did in Gen. 6. I know there are other references throughout the old testament, but I can’t understand why all of the sudden they would stop being so wide spread and why the abductions would be so oriented around the reproductive organs. Why not just continue to mate as they did prior to the flood?

When Is Satan Expelled From Heaven?

Q

I thought heaven was a place for righteous people, angels, Jesus, God, and the saints of old. How can he still be in heaven when he rebelled against God?
