For The Joy Set Before Him

Published: April 10, 2017
Q

When I hear the description of the actual physical beatings, pain, etc. of Jesus it upsets me so much I try not to listen and I am crying over it. Is this wrong of me, should I continue to listen?

OSAS, Another Look

Q

First I just want to say that I really enjoy your website and what you guys are doing. I especially like your articles on the fulfillment of prophecy in present day.

My question pertains to eternal security. I understand that as a Christ follower that God continually forgives us of our sins because if not then no one could be saved (because as sinful humans we fall time and time again) and Christ would have died in vain. However my question is… Can someone who believes in God, repented of his/her sins, and has been born again, actively choose to lose their salvation? Why anyone would want to do that I don’t know. I believe that you can because God has given us free choice. If we can’t then God gave us free choice to choose to love him but once that is done not free choice to choose not love him. I believe that this is the unforgivable sin that is spoken about in Matthew 12:32. I also think that this is the meaning of Hebrews 6:4-6.

I read your article on Hebrews 6:4-6, “You’ll be Safe Here … A Commentary on Hebrews 6” but I don’t understand where you got “falling away” to mean going back to the rituals of the law. Where do you get this information from?

The Resurrection Of Matt. 27

Published: April 7, 2017
Q

Your Bible teaching has been a real blessing to me.

Perhaps you have answered this question already but I can’t find it in your website. Could you comment on the many bodies of the saints who were raised when Christ was raised from the dead? Was it only a select few or were all the saved OT saints raised? Did these people die again? What is the significance of this passage?

Passover Confusion?

Published: April 6, 2017
Q

Why does it sound like Jesus and the disciples are celebrating Passover on the first day of the Feast of Unleaven which begins the day after passover? I am confused about the time line of when Jesus and his disciples ate the Passover meal, and when Jesus was crucified. The Gospel accounts seem to contradict themselves.

Leviticus 23 says Passover begins on the 14th and The Feast of Unleaven on the 15th. And the Passover Lamb from Exodus 12 was to be slaughtered and consumed on the 14th, Passover.

Do you have any articles that address this issue?

God’s Plan Or Husband’s Will?

Published: April 6, 2017
Q

I recently had a “vision” from God. I have had these in the past and they are very profound and always accurate. I feel I know myself enough to know when it’s truly from God. In my vision, God told me I would give birth to another child, a girl. This is after not having any children for 3 years now. We had agreed that our last child would be our last, but then I had the vision. In my heart, I feel God wants us to have another child. I was not seeking it, nor necessarily wanting another. I believe (my husband’s) reasons for not wanting another one are based on worries about finances and the fact that we have “out-grown” our home. I tell him that these things don’t truly matter, that God will provide for all our needs.

My question is, what would you do in this situation or how do you think it should be handled? Should one ignore God’s plan in order to make their husband happy? Should I just “blow off” this vision and pretend it never occurred? Or do you believe God will work a miracle if He truly wants me to have another child and that I will conceive in some way or another?? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Rapture Timing And Daniel 7?

Published: April 6, 2017
Q

First, I must thank you for your various works, especially your “The Bible thru the eyes of its writers”. It’s really helped me understand the books of Revelation and Job.

Here’s my question: recently, I read that God’s “throne room” scene referenced in Revelation 5 is depicted in Daniel 7: 7-11. I looked it up and saw that the “little horn” is mentioned in verse 8, but the throne room scene begins in verse 9. Does this mean that only after the Antichrist is revealed that the seal opening begins? Does this interfere with the timing of the rapture? Or are these verses not sequential? What do you think?

Chaos Or A Normal Life?

Q

My question is about the End Times judgments of Revelation. With all these things going on, will people try to live a normal life or will it be chaos?

Now What Do I Do?

I believe Jesus is the Son of God. I believe in His divinity. I believe He is my Savior. I read His Bible. I spend time praying and speaking quietly with Him. But what else do I do?

Sequence Of The First Resurrection

Q

A post-trib believer is demanding Scriptural proof from me that the first resurrection really is divided into several phases. If you can lead me to the Bible passages I need to share with him, I’d be most grateful.

The Anointing That Breaks The Yoke

Published: April 4, 2017
Q

What is ‘The Anointing’? And to further quantify what is ‘The Anointing that breaks the yoke’? A pastor recently rebuked a teacher in his church for studying the history and events of The Bible so as to be able to teach / preach with clarity and accuracy. The pastor’s view is that there is no need to understand any of those factors. He said we should just minister out of our heart under ‘The Anointing’ and that our words will be right for the moment. The pastor’s view is that when you see people shouting and crying it is evidence of ‘The Anointing’ but if one teaches / preaches truth and what is factually correct but the people are not moved, it is evidence of the lack of ‘The Anointing’. Can you clarify this?
