We read about God the Father and Jesus in Revelation but where do you think the Holy Spirit is? Will He still be in us?

Twice On Sunday?

Published: April 13, 2017
Q

My wife and I disagree over the topic of how many times on Sunday we must attend church. We both come from Baptist backgrounds but I was always a Sunday morning person and she was raised in the belief that you should attend twice on Sunday. I work a lot through the week and weekends are the only time I have to get all the chores around the house completed. Does it state anywhere in the Bible that it is “required” to attend church twice on Sunday, or is this just an individual choice?

Sins Or Faults? Does It Matter?

Published: April 13, 2017
Q

I have recently had some problems with two brothers who think we should confess our sins to each other according to James 5:16 whereas I believe we confess only to God because only God can forgive sins! The KJV states faults whereas the majority if not all other versions of the bible state sins in the verse in James. What is the answer? Does it matter?

Could you direct me to the passage that talks about the many that do not find the narrow path, but only follow the road that is wide, and the few that do?

Why Did The Lord Linger On Earth, Follow Up

Published: April 12, 2017
Q

Regarding the question about what did Christ do on earth during the time between his Resurrection and Pentecost. I’m surprised that you didn’t mention that there are 50 days between the Jewish Feast of the First-fruits, and the Feast of Pentecost. Jesus was on earth for 40 days after His resurrection. 10 days after His Ascension was Pentecost. This was the fulfillment of those feasts.

A Question About Elijah

Published: April 11, 2017
Q

If Jesus said that John the Baptist was Elijah, does that mean Elijah’s spirit was in John or was Elijah reborn as John? What? I’m confused!

Anyway, if that was possible, do you think that Elijah’s spirit may be instilled in another person in our day and age. How will we know? What signs should we look for. How would we recognize this person as God’s emissary and not the evil one? Do you believe it is possible for Elijah to be among us now in the personage of another man of God?

Bible Translations

Published: April 11, 2017
Q

My bible of choice is now a parallel bible containing both KJV and NIV. I made this choice largely because of you – because you use the NIV and I’m an ardent student of your material. In using my new bible I was surprised to find out that some verses in the KJV are intentionally absent in the NIV. I’m sure your aware of this and so I was wondering about your position on using the NIV. Just to be clear – I think using both is valuable and I can’t imagine not using both in my own study.

A Question About Resurrection Morning

Published: April 11, 2017
Q

I have a question about Resurrection Morning. If I understand it correctly, on a Jewish calendar the Sabbath will end when the sun sets on Saturday correct? Does that mean that Resurrection Morning will begin at that time, and that Jesus could have come out of the tomb anytime after sundown Saturday?

Also, I was wondering what leads you to believe that Jesus was born in late-September during Rosh Hashanah? Thank you for answering my questions!

What Caused The Change In Peter?

Published: April 10, 2017
Q

When Peter denied the Lord and cursed, was he saved? He had already declared Jesus the Messiah so I would assume he was. Did he have the Holy Ghost? After the resurrection, he was strong in his faith even unto death. What made him stronger than before?
