The Levitical Feasts And Prophecy

Published: September 25, 2017
Q

I enjoy your answers to many questions as they are word and wisdom based. In Leviticus the Lord gave the Israelites various feasts to observe. There is the first feast which a lamb is offered. Second feast is a wave offering of first fruits, then the feast of Pentecost 40 days later and so on.

What I would like say is I believe Christ has fulfilled some of these feasts exactly and the next feast is to be observed is to be celebrated with the blowing of trumpets, which I think is sometime in September.

We don’t know which September but could I be correct in my theory?

Please Help Me

Published: September 25, 2017
Q

For a very long time now every area in my life has been touched with adversity. I’m in my mid 50’s and still waiting for a mate. I am tormented by temptation so much of the time. My financial situation has plummeted. My health also. Now I just lost my job. I am currently searching for a new church and for ministry to get involved in.

I feel very very displaced in all areas of my life. I feel like Hannah did – I’ve cried out to the Lord. I have others praying for me. I asked the Lord “show me Lord what you want me to know”. I ‘felt’ like the Lord was giving me the scripture “My Grace is sufficient for you”.

I have surrendered my life to the Lord 100% but everything upon everything is just falling apart. I just don’t understand. I feel rejected by God when I see all the people I know moving on with their lives and here I am stuck in a hole (or so it seems) for so many years. Can you help me with this?

Living In God’s Strength

Published: September 22, 2017
Q

Would you please explain exactly what it means to live our lives in God’s strength? If everything at the Bema Seat Judgment is burned up as if it never existed if it was done in human strength, and only actions done in His strength are recognized, how far do you take this? After all, we awake every morning and arise in His strength. If it wasn’t for God, we would stop breathing! What exactly does in His strength mean on a practical level?

More On The Meaning Of Repentance.

Published: September 22, 2017
Q

Recently I heard a sermon on YouTube in which the speaker pointed out that Christian behavior must change in the course of a Christian life, because the Bible states that unless we pursue holiness we won’t see Jesus Christ. The Bible reference he gave was Heb.12:14. To me this seems to contradict the position that repentance is only a change of mind and not behavior. I am aware of the fact that if you are sincere about changing your mind, it will not be long until also your behavior will change. Some things however, like deeply engraved habitual sin or even addictions, are very resilient and don’t change easily. So what do I need to tell myself and others who ask me?

Is The Church Bound By Jewish Feasts?

Published: September 22, 2017
Q

Is the Church bound by Jewish Feast Days? When it comes to Prophecy, can the Rapture really be just any old day? Pentecost and Feast of Trumpets are the 2 most popular Feasts that most Experts debate over.

I love Feast Days because it allows believers a target to anticipate for the Rapture. Jesus says “I come at an hour you think not.” Some say that means Christ’s Appearing on a Sabbath which the Jews would never allow. Could it just mean He is coming just any old day out of the blue?

Purifying The Church By Fire?

Published: September 21, 2017
Q

I appreciate your site so much. I have a friend who keeps telling me Christians are going to go through The Great Tribulation, because it is the “cleansing fire” we must go through to “purify” for our redemption when Christ comes back. I have been a Pre-Trib Rapture believer since my conversion many years ago. Can you help me here? Thank you so very much.

Symbolic Use Of Numbers In The Bible

Published: September 21, 2017
Q

Although I notice how often numbers are used in the bible, I can’t say I really understand the significance of them – so have some more work to do to grasp their meaning and what they are communicating.

In a reading of Mark 6:30-44, 8:1-21, it looks like Christ is using the number 12 to designate Israel in the feeding of the 5000 and the number 7 to designate Gentiles in the feeding of the 4000. Can you elaborate a bit on why there are 12 baskets left over for the Jews and why there are 7 baskets left over for the Gentiles? Do the numbers 5000 and 4000 have any significance in understanding this scripture? Do they 5 loaves and 2 fishes versus 7 loaves have significance as well?

Strength In Weakness

Published: September 20, 2017
Q

Re. 2 Corinthians 12:9: I have a question about this verse, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Then Paul says “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” What does “weakness” mean in these verses? I know that Paul wrote them in the context of his persecution and hardships, but what does that mean in a Christian’s everyday life who -thanks to God- doesn’t have to endure persecution? What are our weaknesses in our everyday “ordinary” Christian life? What count as weakness? Could they be our limited abilities which can be mental, emotional and physical? Plus our struggle with our sinful nature and our sins?

Another Rosh Hashanah Rapture Question

Published: September 20, 2017
Q

Thanks for your faithfulness in answering so many questions so carefully. At this week of Rosh Hashanah, my question is about the relationship of this first Fall feast to the trumpet call of God at the Rapture. There seems to be agreement that the four Jewish festivals in the Spring time have all been purposefully authorized and honored by God. So that thought is that God’s choice of calling His bride, the Church would likely fall on Rosh Hashanah. This seems to me to take away from the immanency concept which says it could be any day of any year. Your thoughts, please.

Which Is The Fall Feast Of The 2nd Coming?

Published: September 20, 2017
Q

Jesus and the prophets gave us clues as to Jesus Second Coming, not the day and the hour, but the year and the month. You discovered the year, 2018, and I know someone found the month, based on the feasts of Israel and cycles of the moon or something like that. The month cannot be discovered until it is almost here because of something to do with not knowing the cycle of the moon until just before it happens, can you give me the name of the feast and the reason we can’t know the cycle of the moon until the rabbis figure it out?
