Please, Please, Help!

Q

We have the most godly daughter any one has ever met. Pastors, youth group leaders, other parents all use her as the example of Christian womanhood.

She has finally identified the person she wishes to spend the rest of her life with. He is, of course, saved, and by all outward appearances “nice” in every way.

All along we have all had a check in our spirit. When she met him, he was depressed, suicidal, and in is own words: “…wanting to go to the mission field to die in obscurity.” Having our daughter in his life has breathed new life into him and God has “healed him” of all the other garbage.

My husband was called by “him” and informed they are getting married. Our daughter has moved (from the town where she is currently enrolled in a master’s program) and not given us her address or phone. She has turned her back on us because we did not bow to their proclamation.

What is your feeling on all of this? Are we wrong not to go along even though we feel it would be handing our daughter over to a person we do not trust? When is it ever okay for a daughter to shun her father’s authority? I see no magical age. I believe everyone is under a God-specified authority. Whose is she under presently? Is there no consequence? Will God honor her tearing away?

Please, please help.

In The Image Of God

When does GOD create the non-physical part of a human? Does He do it when the sperm and the egg unite? Did it exist before the physical began? Is the physical or non-physical, or both, created in GOD’s image?

Turned Off By Religion

Q

I am trying to witness to my 86 year old die hard Catholic father. (he hasn’t gone to church in years but did meet the Pope during the war) He feels this church has changed since he was an alter boy and he has lost faith in the Church.

I grew up Catholic also, but found the Lord in college thru a Baptist friend and have been studying the bible & prophecy ever since. I explained I put my faith in Jesus, not a religion and at that point he won’t talk about it anymore and gets angry.

He is really hurt because his religion failed him and I don’t know how to reach him. Of course prayer is my only answer, but do you have any other suggestions. Every time I ask him if he ever believed in Jesus, he evades the question.

Guardian Angels

Q

Thank you for your insights, as always.

Is there any information on guardian angels and their roles? Specifically, angels who watch over us individually on a one-to-one basis. The only scriptural reference that I think might allude to this has to do with the childrens’ angels being in heaven and beholding God’s face (Matt. 18:10-11). If this is a reference to guardian angels, does that mean that they are always in heaven, and not on earth beside us? Since we now have the Holy Spirit, does that mean we no longer have these guardian angels?

Millennial Feasts?

Q

I am studying the feasts of Israel. In particular I am trying to find the scriptural reference to the one feast believers on Earth will celebrate during the millennium. My memory is that Egypt will refuse to honor this holy feast and will be punished. Can you help me ?

They Will Not Taste Death

Q

I am reading the book of Mark and have a question about chapter 9. And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power. Who was Jesus talking about not tasting death?

Partial Rapture Theories

Q

I love the insight you have into Revelation you make it so clear.

I have been interested in End Times since I was first saved 33 years ago and I feel that I have a good understanding of it all BUT willing to learn more.

Now…..I have a question which has troubled me since I read it and because you may know the person who wrote it I won’t mention his name although you may be able to guess. He says that not all the Christians will be going in the rapture but only the Bride of Christ. The rest will have to face the consequences and go through the tribulation and could be martyred or lost.

Now I find this extremely worrying as my belief is that all those that are born again will go in the rapture even if they are what you would call luke warm Christians. The Bible says…’believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved’. I see that as saved from the wrath to come.

My personal interest in this is that my eldest daughter and granddaughter have given their lives to Jesus and have been water baptized but unfortunately both are married to husbands that are unsaved so they don’t go to church and after reading the article they won’t be in the rapture either but will have to face the wrath to come and I can’t see them being able to do that.

Please give me your answer to this problem I value it and would appreciate if very much.

My Grace Is Sufficient, Follow Up

Q

I have been reading your updated article on healing. I hope I am mistaken in my interpretation of what you are stating with regards to healing.

The reason, I say this is that My wife and I lost our precious son (Joshua) to leukemia on August 3, 2005. He was thirteen years old. Joshua was born again and loved the Lord. our former church and pastor’s anointed Joshua with oil, prayed and fasted with him, in addition to having other Church’s affiliated with the Church do the same. Along with Our entire family and Josh.

Unfortunately, after all this including a bone marrow transplant chemo and radiation therapies, among other treatments, he went home to be with Jesus. So are you saying that none of us including Joshua, had enough faith to have the Lord heal him? Or am I missing something? Although, I know he is with the Lord, and we will see him again, we miss him terribly. We have heard all the Christian Comments, primarily from people who have never experienced burying their child. So I am very interested in all articles concerning healing. Hopefully, you will see fit to respond.

God Our Healer Follow Up

Q

It certainly makes sense what you said about Isaiah 53:4-5 (in God our Healer). I have never seen anyone get healed although I do believe that all healing is Spiritual and is from God.

If he heals like you say, then why did He not heal the Apostle Paul, and why does He not heal (a well known Christian author). Why does He just heal certain people? I know He does not have favorites. I wish I knew the answer. I know you are a man of God because you have answered so many of my questions.

What Every One Should Know

Published: September 25, 2017
Q

My friend calls himself a Historical Realist. He believes that the world is now left in man’s control (God has faith in US), since the Bible was completely fulfilled and is just a history book. So when ALL die, we ALL go to heaven.. there is no hell, for a loving God wouldn’t send anyone to hell (it was only made for Satan and his demons & that was the reason Christ died).

He asked me how does a loving God send a Buddhist to hell b/c he never heard the word of Jesus. My response was we have a conscience. But my answer wasn’t sufficient, even for myself. I know God is fair and just, and if someone sincerely was seeking him with no contact with a Christian, he would bring that person the truth. But how do I answer this question correctly?
