The Battle of Ezekiel 38-39 … Part 3

Published: December 19, 2013
In October of 2004 Iran completed two big steps in its ongoing pursuit of nuclear weaponry. First was the successful test of a missile with a 1250-mile (2000km) range, capable of hitting all parts of Israel, all US military installations in the Middle East, and every European capitol with nuclear warheads. Second was the conversion of "a few tons" of raw uranium into fuel to power the centrifuges used in the production of weapons grade uranium. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei told Iran's nuclear scientists this week that unless they produce four bombs by January of 2005 they "aren't Moslems." In the same week week, Russia repeated its pledge to continue assisting Iran in developing its nuclear capability...

The Last Christmas?

Published: December 11, 2013

Commentary by Jack Kelley

Whether you’re following commentaries by prophecy scholars on the nearness of the rapture or predictions by financial experts on the nearness of the world’s economic downfall, the message is the same. This could very well be the last time we celebrate Christmas as we’ve come to know it.

The End Times According To Daniel … Part Two, Chapters 8 And 9

Published: November 24, 2013
Two years after Daniel's vision of the four beasts that we described in chapter 7, he had another vision, this one of a ram and a goat. As we'll see, it was intended to give both him and us more detail on the things to come, because the vision has a dual fulfillment.

The Pre-Trib Rapture In Acts 15:13-18

Published: November 8, 2013

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

A number of people have wondered about using Acts 15:13-18 to support my position that the rapture of the church has to precede the beginning of Daniel’s 70th Week. Most of their comments have included a request for a clearer understanding of why I do this,

There’s A New Day Coming

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

A Prophecy About Elam

A Feature Article by Jack Kelley

This is the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, early in the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah: (Zedekiah ruled the Southern Kingdom from 597 to 586 BC).

This is what the Lord Almighty says:

Honest To God

(For those of you who weren’t able to attend the Steeling The Mind conference in Denver on October 5th, here’s a written version of the presentation I gave there.)

Over the last few months I’ve wondered how much of what I’m about to say would still be prophecy by the time this conference started.

Psalm 83 … Preview Of A Coming Attraction

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

(Note: this is an update of a previous study originally posted in 2008)

Much of the discussion about Israel in the end times revolves around the battle of Ezekiel 38-39. So let me start by offering my opinion as to why Ezekiel’s prophecy is not on the verge of fulfillment and cannot be the next battle on Israel’s horizon.

Who Is The Restrainer?

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work;

The Epistle To The Hebrews, Part 8

Published: September 4, 2013

The over arching principle of the Epistle to the Hebrews is that our position before God is based on our belief that the once-for-all-time sacrifice of our Great High Priest was sufficient for our salvation. Some have said that this letter can be seen as a commentary on Habakkuk 2:4 “The just shall live by faith.”

The Epistle To The Hebrews, Part 7

Published: September 4, 2013

Along with Hebrews 6, the chapter we’re about to study is a favorite of the conditional security folks, even though within the chapter itself the writer clearly asserts that by His one sacrifice, the Lord has made us perfect forever.

The Epistle To The Hebrews Part 6

Published: September 4, 2013
Levitical priests were sinners themselves and had to keep offering sacrifices day after day and year after year, and then they died and another one took their place to do the same thing all over again. We need a high priest who isn't a sinner, who only needs to offer one sacrifice, who lives forever and can save us forever.

The Epistle To The Hebrews, Part 5

Published: September 4, 2013
Having made reference to Jesus as a priest in the order of Melchizedek, (Hebr. 5:10 & 6:26) the author now explains how this connection came to be and why His priesthood is superior to the Levitical priesthood of the Old Covenant. Think of chapter 7 as a commentary on Genesis 14.

The Epistle To The Hebrews, Part 4

Published: September 4, 2013
We've come to the place in our study of Hebrews that's familiar even to those who haven't read any other part of the letter. Did the writer intend to warn us that our salvation is subject to loss? And even more frightening, did he say that once lost it could never be regained?

The Epistle To The Hebrews, Part 3

Published: September 4, 2013
In our last installment we learned that because the Israelites refused to enter the Promised Land by faith, God declared that they would never enter His rest. We begin this one by learning the spiritual meaning behind the weekly Sabbath.

The Epistle To The Hebrews, Part 2

Published: September 4, 2013
In our last study we saw the author give proof that Jesus is as superior to the angels as His name is to theirs. The Son of God is the exact representation of His being, His prophet for the Last Days, the sole provider of our purification. Now we'll see that in the process He descended lower than the angels for a little while to become a man in order to save mankind.

The Epistle To The Hebrews, Part 1

Published: September 4, 2013
In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

Malachi Speaks Again. Part 1

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

This is the latest in our series on the minor prophets called “The Prophets Speak Again”. As in the past, we’ll take a message from the Lord to ancient Israel and see if there’s a parallel application in our world today. But first lets get a little better acquainted with Malachi.

We continue in our study of the Minor Prophets with chapter 2 of the Book of Malachi to see what the Lord had him say to the Israelites, and how it applies to us today.

Malachi Speaks Again. Part 3

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

We continue our study of the Book of Malachi with chapter 3. As we’ll see the Lord isn’t finished with His criticism of Israel’s behavior, and as was the case with the previous chapters some of His complaints about them could just as easily be made about us.

The Ottoman Empire existed from 1299 until 1922. It was in many respects the Islamic successor to the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire and like the Roman Empire it had its headquarters in Constantinople (Istanbul). At the peak of its power and influence,
